Hello lovelies & happy Sunday! I hope you’re ready, because I have quite the swatch heavy post ready for you today. As I’ve previously mentioned, I was gifted part of the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel 90s collection, & I’m really excited to share these shades with you!
As a child of the 90s, this collection hits me right in the nostalgia. So I was pumped to be able to share these shades with you. The actual collection contains 8 funky 90s inspired shades, & I have 5 of them to share today! I was also lucky enough to receive two of the new Sally Hansen Miracle Gel special effects top coats, to add a little extra sparkle to your manicure.
These limited edition 90s shades can be found wherever you buy Sally Hansen. I’ve found them at my local Shoppers Drug Mart & Walmart stores — both in special edition displays.
Sally Hansen Miracle Gel 90s Collection — Toadally Buggin’

3 coats + Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glossy Top Coat

First from the collection with have a very neon highlighter yellow/green Toadally Buggin’ — which is just solidifying the 90s vibes of this collection with the Clueless Reference in its name.
The formula on this shade, like pretty much all the collection, is pretty thin so you need a few coats—3 for this shade—for full coverage. The colour also leans more yellow than green, at least on the nails. But as far as 90s vibes? This shade is spot on!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel 90s Collection — Mixtape

3 coats + Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glossy Top Coat

Next up in the collection, we have another neon yellow — Mixtape. & raise your hand if you had more than one mixtape recorded off the radio of your favourite songs. Ah the days pre-Spotify (& pre-Napster!)
This yellow is much more sheer, with a beautiful golden micro shimmer. This was 3 coats, & as you can see, there is still major visible nail line showing. Truthfully, I think this shade would benefit from some polish undies — you can do a coat or two over white, or it would look pretty good layered over Toadally Buggin’.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel 90s Collection — Nostalchick

3 coats + Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glossy Top Coat

Next up, we’re feeling full on Malibu Barbie vibes with this funky pink, Nostalchick.
Again, the formula was pretty thin on this shade, so I needed to build it up with 3 coats. The formula was easy to apply, though, which I was happy about. Even though it takes a bit to get it to full-ish coverage, I really really love this colour. It truly is the perfect Barbie pink, which is perfect right now! 🩷

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel 90s Collection — Did I Blue That?

2 coats + Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glossy Top Coat

Next up, we have a fabulous vibrant blue Did I Blue That? If the previous shade was all Barbie, this shade is giving off Ken vibes — even if the name is all Urkele.
I really, really love this colour! It’s such a pretty blue. Not quite a sky blue, but a bit more neon than like a cornflower blue. However, I did find the formula on this shade trickier than the others & it definitely shows. I definitely needed 3 coats instead of two, as I had some patchiness that was not fixed with adding top coat. But for this pretty blue, I will totally take a little extra time in application.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel 90s Collection — Beet Me At The Mall

2 coats + Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glossy Top Coat

Last, but not least, my surprise favourite of this collection—Beet Me At The Mall. Am I a pink nail polish girl now? I think I’m a pink nail polish girl now.
This shade was probably the easiest for application, as I only needed two coats for full coverage. The shade itself is lighter & more pink on the nail, but you get all the shimmer on the nail. I don’t know how 90s this shade feels to me, but it’s definitely a colour I will wear well into the Fall!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glazed Top Coat

Two coats Glazed Top Coat over Did I Blue That?

From 90s vibes to Cinderella vibes, I have Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glazed top coat, which is a beautiful iridescent topper. For my swatch, I did two coats over Did I Blue That?
The formula was easy to apply, although I felt that two coats was needed for full shimmer coverage. The iridescent flakies are tiny, which gives just the right amount of sparkle, & they shift between gold & pink on the nail.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Moonlit Top Coat

One coat Moonlit Top Coat over Blacky-O

The second top coat I received was Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Moonlit Top Coat. I originally applied this shade over Beet Me At The Mall but for full appreciation I knew it didn’t to be applied over black.
This top coat is incredible. The flakies are slightly larger than in the Glazed top coat, but shift between gold, green & pink. As you can see from my micro shot, the shift is intense. Trust me, you’ll be seeing a lot of this shade over the next couple months, especially when I break out my Autumn shades!

& that is the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel 90s collection & new Miracle Gel top coats! Did you see any shades that caught your eyes & are most buys? I still have my eyes out for the 3 other shades in the collection — but I must say over all I think this is a very 90s collection & gives me some great nostalgic feelings!
Happy Sunday loves! 🩷🕶️
