Hello lovelies & happy Sunday! I hope you’re excited for some fun & festive nail polish!
I don’t know about you, but once the middle of November hits, I tend to start thinking holiday nail polish — & holiday nail polish for me usually means glitter! Earlier in the week, I was out at Shoppers with the hubby, & happened across a display for new Sally Hansen shades. One side had Complete Salon Manicure shades, & the other had some fun new Miracle Gel shades, including some glitter toppers & new shades (plus new matte & glossy top coats!)
While I definitely would have loved one of everything, I decided to stick to one shade & couldn’t pass up this beautiful holographic glitterbomb called Hue There?
3 coats + top coat
Hue There? is a beautiful dark smokey jelly base, with a raspberry shine, that is packed full of holographic micro glitters. For my swatches I used 3 coats of polish, & things are still not 100% opaque, but the holo distracts from any patchy spots unless you’re looking really really closely. The formula was thin, as is usually the case with a polish like this, but it was easy to apply without any worries about pooling in the cuticle. As with all Miracle Gel shades, the brush is wide, which always makes application a little easier (except on my pinky nails which are almost too petite for it!)
I did some Google research, but couldn’t find much info on the shade, which makes me believe it’s brand new for the holidays. It definitely is a stunner, & coming from a mainstream brand like Sally Hansen, I’m pretty excited to see a shade like this! & it just screams holidays to me! Like, I want every one of my Christmas presents wrapped in paper that looks like this. I
t’s a shame that this year (most likely) won’t see holiday parties, because this shade would be perfect for a Christmas or New Years Eve shindig!
I picked up this bottle of Miracle Gel at my local Shoppers Drug Mart. It was $14.99 CAD, which is definitely a bit pricy for a drugstore brand, but I do like the Miracle Gel line because they last on my nails! & every couple of weeks you can usually get them on sale for like $9.99.
I also found it listed on Walmart.com, so I’m assuming it should be popping up in stores, if it hasn’t already!
What do you think about this glitter bomb polish? Are you as in love with the holo as I am? Do you have a type of polish you are drawn to as the holidays approach? Let me know in the comments below!
