NailStuff Essentials Treatments — Base Coat

First up, we have the foundation of every good manicure — the base coat. Over the years, I’ve tried a lot of base coats, some which worked well for me & some which I quickly discovered were garbage. NailStuff Essentials Base Coat definitely has fallen in the first category.

2 coats of Base Coat
The formula itself is a beautiful creamy formula was offers a bit of blurring over my staining. It also dries quickly, with a bit of a sticky finish to help “grab” your polish.
So far, I’ve work it over 3 separate manicures & it has lasted well each time — especially during a stock shift at work. I also have been wearing some darker (& red shades) lately & it has helped keep away any staining — two very important things I look for in a base coat. I also like the finish it gives my nail, so I could see myself wearing just it on the very rare day when I’m in a rush or not feeling painted nails.

NailStuff Essentials Treatments — Quick Dry Top Coat

Next up, we have the Quick Dry Top Coat. & when I say that this will be my new go to top coat & I’ll be ordering multiple back up bottles, I’m not being dramatic. They’re not lying when they say quick dry.

1 coat over Dimension Nails Blue Morpho Butterfly (except ring finger)
The formula on this top coat is pillowy & thick, much thicker than I was expecting. It gives an incredible gloss to your manicure, & like I mentioned — the dry time is so fast! This would especially be amazing over any glitter polishes with a more textured finish.

A close up to really see how it adds gloss. Pointer, middle & pinky have top coat, ring finger does not.

NailStuff Essentials Treatments — Matte Top Coat

The third product from this line I have to share is the matte top coat. I’m a huge fan of matte nails, & I strongly believe every nail artist needs a good matte top coat in their stash. I’ve ever done a comparison post of the different matte top coats in my stash! So I was very excited for the opportunity to try this new matte top coat & see how it looks & feels!

1 coat over Dimension Nails Blue Morpho Butterfly
The formula on this matte top coat is a bit thinner than the quick dry top coat, but also dries very quickly. I recommend a good shake before using, & using a thicker coat of top coat than you think you need. The first time I tried applying, I don’t think I had enough on my brush which led to some weird streaking. Obviously, that could be corrected with a second coat. But a thicker first coat also does the same, & leaves you with the beautiful satin finish you see in my swatches.
It is also recommended to apply it over the quick dry top coat (which I did as well for my swatches.)

NailStuff Essentials Treatments —Holographic Top Coat

& last–but definitely not least–we have the Holographic Top Coat. Another must have top coat for any nail polish lover because it can transform your nail polish stash into something brand new!

2 coats applied over Dimension Nails Blue Morpho Butterfly on Pointer — 1 coat applied over Blue Morpho Butterfly on middle & pinky fingers — 2 coats applied over Nailstuff Essentials Base Coat on ring finger.
I really wanted to show off the different ways you can wear this holographic top coat. You can definitely layer it on for a more dramatic holo, or even wear it over a naked nail for a fun effect (or great base for a naked nail manicure). Formula was thin, easy to apply, but with a good helping of holo. I like that it’s a thinner base that you can build to your desired holographic effect. Sometimes, you get one that almost hides the under colour, & I hate that. I like being in control of how much holo I want on my nail, & this works perfectly for that!

A close up to show you the glitter effect. The holographic sparkle looks great & really shows up! I love the versatility of a holographic top coat, & this one is going to be well used by me!
It is also recommended to finish it off with the Quick Dry Top Coat.

& those are all four of the new NailStuff Essentials Treatments launching tomorrow, Monday October 14th, on Nailstuff.ca!
Which one are you most excited about or curious to try? If I had to pick just one, & that’s a big ask because I truly think all of them as incredibly made, I’m probably going to go with the Quick Dry Top Coat. I don’t know what kind of black magic they put into it to make it dry so fast… but I’m here for it!
Happy Sunday!
