SWATCH SUNDAY — Beyond The Nail Mermaids of The World Collection (Summer 2021)

Hello lovelies & happy Sunday! I apologize about my radio silence the last week or so—my mum & dad were visiting after 9 months of being away, so when I wasn’t working, I was spending my time with them which meant that my nails took a bit of a back seat. But I’m super excited because I have a brand new collection to share with you from Beyond the Nail: their Summer 2021 Mermaids of the World collection!

This brand new collection is made up of 6 beautiful & super glittery shades, all inspired by bodies of water around the world.

Beyond the Nail — Pacific (Summer 2021 Mermaids of the World collection)

2 coats, no top coat

First up, we have Pacific, a beautiful aqua blue glitter which is densely packed with these multicolour round glitters. The base of this shade is clear, but with two coats of polish, most of the nail is hidden. The glitter is quite dense — however, you could definitely layer one coat over a base shade for a nice glitter topper. I’m also dying to use this shade in a glitter gradient as well!

Beyond the Nail — Atlantic (Summer 2021 Mermaids of the World collection)

2 coats, no top coat

Next up, we have Atlantic, a stunning turquoise aqua glitter bomb. The base, again, is clear but the mix of aqua & green micro glitters, as well as larger aqua hex glitters does an amazing job of building opacity. I am a huge fan of thick glitter formulas like this, because they cover the nail so easily! I’m also definitely feeling the ocean vibes behind the polish; feels just like a trip to the beach.

Beyond the Nail — Caribbean (Summer 2021 Mermaids of the World collection)

2 coats, no top coat

Next up, is Caribbean, a beautiful green, gold & purple shade. Another shade which is densely packed with micro glitters, it also has easy coverage upon the second coat. The colour combination is especially gorgeous—I absolutely love the addition of holographic gold & green sparkle.

Beyond the Nail — Ontario (Summer 2021 Mermaids of the World collection)

2 coats + top coat

Next up, we have Ontario, a deep blue glitter, which is scattered with purple square glitters. The formula on this shade was definitely the most opaque of the polishes in the collection. One coat offered amazing coverage, but two coats really offers the full glitter effect.

Beyond the Nail — Caspian (Summer 2021 Mermaids of the World collection)

Next up in the collection, we have Caspian, a beautiful lime green & gold holographic glitter shade. This shade is vibrant, & lush, & totally out of my comfort zone. But you can’t deny how gorgeous this green is! I’m absolutely smitten with how pretty this green glitter is. The formula was also another easy shade to apply, needing the same 2 coats as most of the polishes in the collection.

Beyond the Nail — Arctic (Summer 2021 Mermaids of the World collection)

2 coats, no top coat

Last, but not least, we have Arctic, a densely packed shade featuring a blue & black micro glitter base, & a plethora of multi coloured accent glitters! If you’re looking for a crazy glitter bomb, this is definitely the shade for you. The sparkle is unreal! & the glitters applied easily & smoothly.
