Hello lovelies & happy Sunday! Today I’m super excited because I have a brand new (to me) nail polish brand to share with you that was recently gifted to me.
Olive & June is a nail polish brand that sells both nail polish & press on nails. They have an extensive range of 15-free nail polishes in a ton of exciting colours, so I felt super blessed to be send their Summer box which contained everything I need for the perfect summer manicure. While I’ve used their nail art stickers before, I’ve never tried their nail polish!
The summer collection contains 6 polishes — 5 cream/crelly shades, & one shimmery topper.
Olive & June Summer 2023 — Flowerpot
2 coats + Olive & June Long Lasting Top Coat
First up, we have Flowerpot, a beautiful rustic orange.
Like most of the colours in the collection, the formula on this leans a bit crelly instead of a straight up cream polish which called for careful application. The formula does dry quickly, which is nice, so you don’t have to wait too long between coats. The colour is also very nice, although I’m not usually a straight up orange kind of girl.

Next up, we have How Do You Spell Bougainvillea? a crelly magenta.
This was the shade I really noticed the crelly formula on, & looking back I kind of wish I had done a third coat because I found it applied more sheer than the others. That being said, I absolutely love the colour! I can never say no to a good fuchsia. I also think this shade would make for an awesome glitter sandwich, so I’m definitely going to be trying that soon!
Olive & June Summer 2023 — Not A Cloud

Next up we have Not A Cloud, a vibrant light blue, & my favourite of the collection!
The formula again on this one was a bit crelly, although probably the least of all the shades. The colour is bright though, & I absolutely love it. This one didn’t dry quite as quickly between coats, so definitely be mindful with you application. This is definitely a colour I can’t wait to wear again, & again.
Olive & June Summer 2023 — Bocce Ball

Up next, we have Bocce Ball, a vibrant grass green.
This shade is giving definite Summer vacation vibes. The formula on this one stays true to the rest of the collection, with that crelly formula. Easy to apply, but definitely needed two careful coats. I will say, though, I’m very impressed with the self levelling these formulas do, before applying top coat. Very impressive. This one also dried down semi matte, before top coat, & I think it’s because it pulls a bit neon.
Olive & June Summer 2023 — House of O&J

Next up, we have my second favourite shade of the collection, House of O&J.
I won’t lie, when I originally opened the box, this one stood out to me first, as I love a good blurple. The formula again is that crelly finish so you need two coats. I feel like this kind of regal blurple shade should definitely be the go to shade of Summer, as it compliments everyone.

Last but not least, we have Starshower, a beautiful rose gold shimmer. I wanted to show off how it looked on its own, as well as over another shade. The formula was easy to apply, & had lots of sparkle with just one coat. It’s not a glitter you can really build any opacity with, but it would look beautiful as the base of some negative space nail art, or even as a little sparkle on some almost naked nails.
& a macro shot of it over my naked nail, so you can really see some sparkle. I love how tiny the little flakes of glitter are. I’m think it would look stunning over a nude base as well.
& that’s it for the Olive & June Summer 2023 collection! I will say, I was impressed with every colour, & even though the formula on the polishes was slightly different than I expected, I was very pleased with them!
I’m very excited to do some nail art with these shades next!
