Hello lovelies & happy Sunday!
Can you believe it’s already the 20th of November? Like… it’s almost December! This year is almost over. Which means it’s my favourite time of year — Holiday nail polish collection time! & I was super excited, & grateful, because my besties over at Sally Hansen were kind enough to send me 4 of the beautiful shades from the new Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Merry & Bright Collection for Holiday 2022. They also sent me a gorgeous gold & green stone happy face bracelet which I’m absolutely loving.
But let’s get onto the swatches, shall we?
Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Merry & Bright Holiday 2022 — It’s Electric
2 coats + Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat
First up, we have It’s Electric, a beautiful shimmery sheer gold. This shade was pretty sheer — this was 2 coats over my nails, but it gives your nails a beautiful soft golden glow. You could probably do another 2 coats to try & get more opacity, but I feel like it would take a lot of work to try & full coverage… & dry time! I kind of like the sort of naked look it gives your nails. It would also be a beautiful base for some half moons — especially paired with another shade from this collection.
Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Merry & Bright Holiday 2022 — Can I Get a Watt Watt
2 coats + Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat
Next up, we have Can I Get a Watt Watt, a sheer red shimmer, similar to It’s Electric. Again, I did 2 coats for my swatches, but you could definitely make an attempt for another coat ( or 2) for full opacity. Personally. I think this shade would look beautiful over a dark burgundy red creme, because it will give it a pretty shimmery glow. Besides being very, very sheer — as you can see — the application was easy.
Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Merry & Bright Holiday 2022 — Me, My Elf & I
2 coats + Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat
The third shade I have from this collection is, I think, my favourite of the four I received: Me, My Elf, & I. I love this sparkly green shade, & it looks absolutely beautiful in motion! I was actually wear this shade for the last few days, & I got so many compliments on it! Again, I’m wearing 2 coats, which builds to a fantastic opacity. It really is the perfect Christmas tree green. I love it.
Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Merry & Bright Holiday 2022 — Shine Bright Like A Menorah
2 coats + Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat
Last, but not least, we have Shine Bright Like A Menorah — a beautiful teal metallic. It almost has this foil like effect on nail, with minimal brush strokes. The shade is gorgeous, & vibrant. The opacity is also really good on this one, with perfect 2 coat application. The only downside to this one is I found it a bit staining, so you’re going to want to make sure you’re wearing a base coat under this one, if you don’t want to leave your nails with a blue tinge.
Over all, I’m loving all the shades I received from the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel 2022 Merry & Bright collection. I always joke it doesn’t really feel like Christmas until Sally Hansen releases their holiday shades, so I guess now that they have it’s time to deck the halls, & paint your nails to match!
