SWATCH SUNDAY — Untried Essie Shades

PR sample

Happy Swatch Sunday lovelies! I hope everyone is having a lovely Father’s Day. It’s been a serious minute since my last Swatch Sunday post. Honestly, the seriousness of the world made me take a minute to pause, & reflect, & spend some time just being with family. But I’ve really, really missed posting & I recently received some awesome Nail Mail from @macintyrecom on Instagram featuring some awesome Essie shades (& a few treatments as well!) I absolutely adore Essie nail polish, so I’m always excited when I receive shades I don’t already own!

So without further ado, let’s check them out!

Essie Brides No Groom

1(ish) coat, no top coat.

First up, we have this beautiful dusty rose pink from the 2016 Bridal collection.

This was one & a half coats? Truthfully I had amazing coverage in one swipe… on most nails. But I did have to go back & do another swipe on a few nails to give it solid coverage. I’m really adoring this shade overall: it’s the kind of dusty pink that I adore (especially for late summer/early Fall.)

Essie — Lady Like

2 coats, no top coat

Next up, we have another Essie shade I somehow didn’t have as part of my collection — Essie Lady Like. This beautiful soft mauve is a perfect neutral shade that is great for everyday. The formula is nice, & not streaky. The shade itself reminds me so much of my Granny, which makes love it that much more. It’s definitely a shade she would adore.

Essie Mani Thanks!

3 coats, no top coat.

Last up, we have Essie Mani Thanks which was originally released as part of the Celebration Moments collection (circa 2019). This sheer-ish champagne gold polish is stuffed full of beautiful gold micro glitters. Definitely the kind of polish you need for celebrating (or just some everyday sparkle). The application was easy, but I did end up applying three coats for semi opaque application.

What do you think of these new-to-me Essie shades? Did any shade stand out to you? Let me know which of the 3 is your favourite down below!
