Good morning lovelies! Today I am so excited because I am officially diving into some BRAND NEW Fall polishes for 2019!
I was recently gifted the China Glaze Gone West Fall 2019 collection courtesy of China Glaze themselves! I’d been admiring this collection & all its shades since it was first announced, so to say I was excited to receive all 8 polishes would be an understatement! & I couldn’t wait to get a chance to try each shade on & share them all with you!
& now some swatches!
China Glaze — Campfired Up!
2 coats, no top coat
First up we have a Campfired Up! which is a dusky red cream. The formula was really nice on this shade, thick enough it was almost a one coater for me–if my nails were a little bit shorter I probably could have got away with it, but I needed two coats to hide all nail line. It’s a nice red & one I can see myself reaching for a lot.
China Glaze Lawless & Flawless
4 coats, no top coat
Next up in the collection we have Lawless & Flawless, a sheer baby pink shimmer. For this swatch, I applied 4 coats of polish to try & get it opaque as possible. There is a slight fuchsia shimmer, which is quite pretty. This shade was a little too sheer for my liking on its own, but it would be a great undercoat for a negative space design. I’m also curious to see if it can be applied over other darker bases.
China Glaze — Take The High Rodeo
2 coats, no top coat
Our next polish from this collection is a darker pink shimmer called Take The High Rodeo. This time, the shimmer is a much more visible gold, which balances well with the dusty pink polish. Formula was great, needing only 2 coats for perfect opacity. The shimmer reminds me a bit of China Glaze Pink Plumeria although that is a much more neon pink.
China Glaze — Buffalo Bills, Bills, Bills
2 coats, no top coat
Our forth polish from this collection is Buffalo Bills, Bills, Bills, a deep chocolate brown shimmer. This guy was also a two coater for perfect opacity, & turned out to be a surprise favourite for me from the collection. I thought the gold shimmer really brought this polish to the next level. It just screams Fall!
China Glaze — Gold Mine Your Business
2 coats, no top coat
Our next polish from the Gone West collection this fun metallic gold with scattered holo glitter. This polish was two coats, but probably could have used one more for best opacity. Again, the gold feels very Fall-like, but I like how the scattered holo gives it something different from all my other Fall gold shades.
I included a macro shot (in sunlight) so you could really see the scattered holo.
China Glaze — Prairie Tale Ending
2 coats, no top coat.
Next up, we have a beautiful neutral beige cream called Prairie Tale Ending. How cute are all the names for this collection — sometimes I can find polish names a little too corny, but all think these are all perfect & fit the theme! Back to the polish, this shade was 2 coats, levelled well & is a great palate cleanser kind of shade. It will also be a great base for nail art.
China Glaze — Cattle Drive Me Crazy
1 coat (!), no top coat
Hello beautiful! Polish number 7 is a fabulous dark teal metallic that applied in one single coat! The formula was great & easy to apply, although a little runny which is why you can see on my ring finger I had a bit of trouble. I liked the colour, I liked the shimmer, I liked that it only needed a single coat. However, this guy is definitely a stainer so you want to double or triple up on base coat for long term wear.
China Glaze — Cowboy Bye
2 coats, no top coat.
Last by not least, we have my absolute favourite shade from the collection–Cowboy Bye. Okay, I knew the second I saw bottle shots & swatches that this was going to be my favourite, & I wasn’t wrong. This polish is a blueish grey base with brown shimmer & scattered holo flakes. It’s literally so hard to explain & makes me swoon when applied to the nail. It’s super shiny without any top coat & the holo… oh the holo. I’m definitely in love.

& that the is the Fall 2019 China Glaze Cowboy Bye collection. Any standout favourites for you, polishes you need need need to buy? Like I said, Cowboy Bye was definitely my favourite from the beginning, but I was really surprised on how much I loved a few other shades like Buffalo Bills, Bills, Bills. All in all, I was really impressed with the whole collection & really excited to see what nail art I will come up with featuring these shades!
