Good morning! Today I’m super excited because I have the most amazing nail polish collection from Sally Hansen to share with you! Sally Hansen Canada recently released an all red collection as part of their Complete Salon Manicure collection — including FIVE new shades. The collection is designed so that everyone can pick their perfectly complimentary red, including one shade that is the “universal” red, so it’s design to compliment every skin tone.
I am a HUGE red nail polish lover. It’s literally all I wore on my nails from 2004-2006. So a whole collection dedicated to red nails… I’m definitely here for that!
Today I have the first 5 lighter polishes from the collection, & I’ll share the other four darker shades in tomorrow’s post!
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure — Cherry Delightful (new!)
One coat.
Cherry Delightful is the universal red that was designed to compliment all skin tones. It’s a classic red for sure! This red reminds me of my favourite that I used wear religiously, because it was the same shade as all the Hollywood it girls were wearing. (Ala Nicole Richie & Mary Kate Olsen)
Sally Hansen CSM — Warm Regards
One Coat.
If you have short nails, like my current nails are, you can definitely get away with one coat of most of these shades. For all my swatches, I applied my polish over a base coat, but without any top coat. This orange-y red is nice & bright, & reminds me of Summer.
Sally Hansen CSM — Red My Lips
One coat.
This creamy red leans a little pink, & reminds me of strawberries for some reason. I definitely like the pink under tones in this shade–reminds me a bit of China Glaze Seas the Day, only with a better formula. Definitely a fan!
Sally Hansen CSM — Red-Handed (new!)
One coat.
This cherry red is a new release from Sally Hansen, & it’s very lovely. Again, my shorties got away with only one coat needed for full coverage, with no worries about streaks. Slightly darker than Red My Lips, & a great polish for Fall!
Sally Hansen CSM — Oh So Lava-ly (new!)
2 coats.
My final shade (for today!) is Oh So Lava-y, which is a metallic red with golden shimmer. This guy took 2 coats, & dried down some unfortunate brush strokes. But that’s okay, because it’s just so pretty! This coppery red is DEFINITELY a perfect shade for Fall, & I love the glow that the shimmer brings out. Just fab!
