FASHION FRIDAY — Headband Obsessed (A mini haul)

Hello lovelies! Hope everyone is having a lovely start to their Friday. This week’s Fashion Friday post is dedicated to my current favourite accessory — the headband. More specifically, the slightly padded & knitted headband that I’ve seen all over Instagram & Pinterest.

Here’s the thing — I LOVE headbands. I’ve always loved headbands. I have a whole drawer full of floral headbands I collected a few years back. & I’ve really been wanting to jump on this knotted headband trend for a while, but getting out to shop has kind of been a struggle the last few months. So I thought, now that I’m gearing up to return to work at the end of the month, it would be fun to get myself some new headbands. Plus with my new hair cut, I’ve been much more excited to actually DO things with my hair.

FASHION FRIDAY — My New Haircut for Spring 2020

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! I’m back with another brand new Fashion Friday post!

Recently I’ve been seeing everyone with the haircut of the moment: the bob. Obviously, the bob is not a new hair style — it’s been around FOREVER — but I seems to be making a resurgence & after seeing whole lot of amazing looking short bob inspiration, I decided it was time to bring my hair back to life after almost two years of bleaching it! I needed a new & fresh cut & I knew that I needed this trendy hair cut in my life again.

For those who don’t know what my hair looked like before, here it is: faded blue ombré with long layers. & some sad looking natural wave that were kind of dead thanks to the over-bleaching.

I’m back from my mini vacation & feeling refreshed. & feeling ready to get back to blogging! Today’s blog post is all about my all time favourite thrifted pieces.

FASHION FRIDAY — Girlie Floral OOTD 🌸

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! Today I’m showing off a fun girlie floral OOTD that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day.

As you guys have probably guessed from my nails, I love floral. All things floral! Which naturally means, I tend to have a large collection of floral in my closet — where else do you think I get all the inspiration for my nails? So come Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter, it’s a pattern I love to wear.

I’m wearing my absolute favourite jeans of all time, the Slimming Skinny Jeans from Levi that which I gushed about in my post all about my 5 Go To Items.  I know I already said it, but they really are the best pair of jeans I’ve ever owned. & after 2 years, they still look absolutely brand new!

A floral shirt is always a good idea in my eyes, but I love that this one is peplum style because it shows off the areas I love (my shoulders/collarbone area) while camouflaging the areas I’m a little more self conscious about (my post-baby stomach). I thrifted it this Summer, but I’m a floral anytime kind of girl, so I love that throwing a cardigan over top makes it so verstitle.

This would be a look I could most definitely see myself wearing for a Valentine’s date night with my husband, just because not only is it comfortable, it makes me feel cute.

FASHION FRIDAY — Jeans & T-shirt OOTD

Hello lovelies & happy Friday. Today I’ve got another OOTD post for you!

While I’d love to say that every time I leave the house I feel put together & channel my inner fashion blogger, most of the time if I’m going out for a reason — groceries, coffee run, etc– I tend to go for simplicity over high fashion. But that’s not to say I don’t want to look & feel cute! So one of my favourite looks to pull together for those errand kind of days is a jeans & t-shirt & cardigan combo.

So true story: this tee has been in my possession since my University days (circa 2005}, when I used to channel Mary Kate Olsen during the mid to late 2000s. Originally it was my Father’s, & I’m not exactly sure how it came to be in my possession, but I’m going to assume it had something to do with shrinking in the dryer. Haha.

Suffice to say, it’s well lived in & well loved.
