Good morning lovelies & happy Sunday. It’s been quiet here on the blog this week, but I’ve been taking a mini break for content planning & I feel like there are some really exciting things to come! I’m really really excited for the direction Coffee & Nail Polish is going to take in 2020 & I hope everyone else will be too! In the mean time, let’s start off our week right with some new nail polish!
Today’s polish pick is Cadillacquer Nostalgia which is received courtesy of NailStuff.ca!
Nostalgia is a beautiful dark purple to light blue thermal nail polish, with the most stunning pinky iridescent multi shaped glitters. If you’ve been here a while, you’ll know I have a serious love affair with thermal nail polish, dating all the way back to my early days working at Claire’s (circa sometime around 2009.
Below you can see Nostalgia in its cold state which is this beautiful purple. You can really see the pinky iridescent glitters.
& below is the hot state. The pale blue is very very pretty, & nice & icy. Perfect for winter weather.
For my swatches, I did base coat, three coats of polish & finished off with a glossy top coat. I ended up wearing this polish for a few days, & had very minimal issues with chipping. & I had no issues with top coat (or base coat) affecting the change this polish makes. I haven’t tried it with peel off base coat, so I’m unsure if it would still work as well then.
I’ve bought a few thermal nails polishes in my time, mostly the Claire’s Mood line, but Nostalgia is by far the most beautiful thermal I’ve ever owned. Seriously, between the contrast of purple to blue & those glitters, there is just so much going on in this bottle & I couldn’t be more obsessed!
& just for fun, I was testing out the change by pressing my nails against my latte & then into the snow, just to see how it reacted. I love how easily you can make it shift!
Remember, you can pick up this shade (& other Cadillacquer shades) from NailStuff.ca. I still have my discount code, so if you use COFFEE10 you can save 10% off your purchase at checkout!
These items were gifted to me free for review. However, all opinions are my own.
