Essie Dive Bar 

 I’ve been dreaming about Essie Dive Bar ever since I saw it at Shoppers two years ago on clearance, and didn’t buy it. When I went back to get it because I had to have it it was gone. And I was sad. 

Thank goodness for Marshalls. A few weeks back I spotted it and suffice to say–it’s MINE! And I love it so much. 

  

 Started off with two coats of perfection (aka Dive Bar) and topped with top coat. I should have taken a picture but whoops! After it was dry, I grabbed my gold Stripr Rite striper and created a few geometric stripes.  I then Sealed everything in  with top coat again, and then thought “I bet this would look beautiful mattified”. I had to  grab my L’oreal The Matte Velvet top coat and… 😍. You can see the end result. 

Even more perfection! Is there anything that matte top coat doesn’t make more beautiful?! 

  

 

I even (unintentionally!) matched my dress to my nails because I’m cool like that.   
 
What is #1 polish on your I Need To Own That list? Now that I finally own Dive Bar I’ll need to find a new one! I’ve been on a serious quest for Essie Bell Bottom Blues from their Fall collection and it keeps slipping out of my grasp! I want it so bad! Let me know yours in the comments!

Fall Dry Brush

I’ve been super busy the last couple days post wedding so I’ve had no real time for nails! But I did this Fall themed dry brush a couple weeks ago which I really loved (but didn’t get a chance to post) so I thought I would share!

I love how the different layers of colours come through with this design. I also can’t wait for life to stop being such a whirlwind and get back to nail art again!

My wedding nails! 

So I had a fairly exciting weekend–the Mr and I got married!  Obviously when we started talking wedding I couldn’t help but trying to figure out my wedding mani. I knew I wanted blue incorporated, and I knew I wanted floral. In the end they ended very different from what I had originally intended to do, but I simply loved them!

Pink and purple sideways French. 

Hope everyone had a great long weekend! I was only off yesterday, but the spent the weekend cleaning up our flat and arranging some new furniture (that we were gifted as an early wedding gift). 
 Today’s nail were a simple mani sideways French manicure featuring my new favourite purple OPI Suzy and the 7 Düsseldorfs. 

The polishes I used for the mani were:

  • OPI Suzy and the 7 Düsseldorfs 
  • China Glaze Strawberry Feilds 
  •  Stripe Rite Striping Polish in Gold. 
  • Seche Vite 

 
This week is going to be a busy one! But I’m still going to make sure to get a few posts in before Saturday.

Something Blue floral inspired by @25_sweetpea 

So you might have noticed an abundance of floral recently, even though Fall is quickly approaching. Well that’s because I’ve been on the search for the perfect bridal manicure. That’s right… I’m getting married! A week from today! 

   

I’ve bfinally figured out what I’m doing on my nails (with a week to go). I’ve been searching for the perfect floral mani to wear day of, and thanks to my girl @26_sweetpea I found it! She posted this beautiful mani last week, and as soon as I saw it I knew! 

 
 The other night I did a wedding mani test run using Essie Bikini So Teeny and China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le , which are my two all time favourite blues. I was having trouble deciding which one I wanted to wear.  I’ve figured it out now (and you’ll have to wait to see what I go with!) but I wanted to share the close up of this mani.
