Pink and purple sideways French. 

Hope everyone had a great long weekend! I was only off yesterday, but the spent the weekend cleaning up our flat and arranging some new furniture (that we were gifted as an early wedding gift). 
 Today’s nail were a simple mani sideways French manicure featuring my new favourite purple OPI Suzy and the 7 Düsseldorfs. 

The polishes I used for the mani were:

  • OPI Suzy and the 7 Düsseldorfs 
  • China Glaze Strawberry Feilds 
  •  Stripe Rite Striping Polish in Gold. 
  • Seche Vite 

 
This week is going to be a busy one! But I’m still going to make sure to get a few posts in before Saturday.

Something Blue floral inspired by @25_sweetpea 

So you might have noticed an abundance of floral recently, even though Fall is quickly approaching. Well that’s because I’ve been on the search for the perfect bridal manicure. That’s right… I’m getting married! A week from today! 

   

I’ve bfinally figured out what I’m doing on my nails (with a week to go). I’ve been searching for the perfect floral mani to wear day of, and thanks to my girl @26_sweetpea I found it! She posted this beautiful mani last week, and as soon as I saw it I knew! 

 
 The other night I did a wedding mani test run using Essie Bikini So Teeny and China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le , which are my two all time favourite blues. I was having trouble deciding which one I wanted to wear.  I’ve figured it out now (and you’ll have to wait to see what I go with!) but I wanted to share the close up of this mani.

Simple gold dotticure

  

Happy Friday! I have just a quick manicure to share today. 

I love gold. I love gold SO MUCH! It really does look beautiful with anything. For this manicure I paired Zoya Harlow with Essie Jiggle Hi, Jiggle Lo and China Glaze Meet Me in the Mirage. 

What’s your favourite colour to pair with gold? Mine is purple (obviously) but I love it with a deep blue! And red! Haha see it’s perfect with everything.

Half moons featuring Essie Vested Interest! 

 It’s sweater weather! 

In honour of the chilly Nova Scotia mornings, I’ve been playing with my Fall-themed polishes. I wanted to pull away from my obsession with pinks and purples and blues and wear something a little different. 

Essie Vested Interest is from their fall 2013 collection, and it’s a deep greyish green  creme. It’s not a typical colour I usually reach for, but it’s definitely the perfect fall colour.

  • Essie Vested Interest 
  • Stripe Rite striping polish in Gold. 
  • Seche Vite 

 
I really, really love how these turned out. This may be one of my best half moon manicures I’ve ever done!

Freehand triangle accent nails. 

I’ve wanted to create a mini triangle patterned nails for a while now, but I’m no good with striping tape! So I decided to give them a try with my striping polish! My freehanding has been getting better with practice so I’m very happy with how these turned out.

What do you think of this mani? I absolutely adore how my triangles turned out! I wore this mani for a full two days which almost never happens. I would have kept it on another day but they started to chip thanks to work (darn stock days…). I will definitely be trying this design again soon!
