Good morning lovelies! Today I have a fun post to share with you that is a little out of my comfort zone, but I am super excited about! I was recently contacted by Quo about their Spring limited edition make up collection that is cactus themed & I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to say yes!
The collection contains two eye shadow palettes, Desert Rose & Desert Sun, two face palettes, Sand Dune & Badlands, two Cream lip stains, Mariposa & Apache, a Luxe Buffing Brush & a cactus themed sponge. I was lucky enough to receive an eyeshadow palette, a face palette, a cream lip stain & that very adorable cactus sponge.

First up, we have the eyeshadow palette I received–Desert Rose. The palette contains 4 shades, all which had a small amount of shimmer to them, & an applicator brush. I searched the four shades on my hand to see how opaque they were. Obviously the darker shades were more visible, but you could still see the tan & peach pretty well against my skin. I’m not usually a huge make up person, but honestly I can see myself pulling out this palette a lot–these are exactly the kind of shades I look for when I do wear make up! I’m also going to have to pick up the second palette Desert Sun as well.

Next up, we have the Face Palette in Sand Dune which is described as a Contour/Highlighter Kit. According to my info on the collection, 3 shades are designed for highlighting while the other is your contour powder. All four shades had great shimmer to them that showed up well.
Quo Limited Edition Spring 2019 Cream Lip Stain Mariposa
Next up, I have the pink lip stain from the collection called Mariposa (which means Butterfly in Spanish… thanks Vanderpump Rules!) The lip stain is designed to go on as a gloss, then dry down to a stain. The colour is gorgeous–I’m all about a bright pink like this!–& the smell was really quite nice & almost fruity. Also the pigment was fantastic both when I searched it just on my hand, as well as when I wore the shade out.

The final item I received for all my Spring make up needs was this adorable cactus make up blender. It comes in two pieces, & quite honestly is almost too cute to use! The pieces are small & easy to handle, so they would be great for everyday make up application.
& finally, I decided to use all my brand new make up to create a nice light make up look! I could definitely see myself using these shades for everyday make up–I just love the soft, natural shades as they really compliment my natural olive undertones. Also Mariposa adds just enough colour to my lips without being too much.
