GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE APRIL — Daffodils

Good morning lovelies & happy Wednesday! I hope everyone’s week has been lovely so far. The weather has been seasonal so far, which I can’t complain about too much. & the flowers are beginning to bloom.

It’s time for the next prompt of Glam Nails Challenge April: daffodils. & I’ll be honest I was nervous, again, about this prompt. I love love love doing floral, but this was a type of flower I’d never painted before. But, you know, I think I nailed it!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive Fast Dry Top
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Glos-Sea
  • OPI Nature Strong Make My Daisy
  • Essie Fall for NYC
  • Essie Check Your Baggage
  • Essie Cliffhanger
  • ACO by Ardene Jungle Green
  • Essence Bloom Me Up! Blow My Mint
  • Essie Off Tropic
  • NailStuff.ca Mermaid Tail Brush

First off, check out this blue! I recently picked it up at Shoppers when I had some optimum points, & I’m really in love with it. It’s kind of hard to see in this lighting, but it has the prettiest pink-y shimmer in it. A fantastic colour for Spring. Also the perfect base for these beautiful yellow flowers.

Second I’m so, so proud of how these daffodils turned out. Sometimes I get self conscious when it comes to nail art I’ve never done before, but I really do love them. & it’s inspired me to do more floral again. I feel like I stopped doing florals for a while, & now that Spring is here, it’s time to pick up doing them again. Because, they really do make me so happy.

What do you think of my daffodils for Glam Nails Challenge April? Did you miss all the floral? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below.

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE APRIL — Tulips 💐

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! Another week is upon us, although this one isn’t looking nearly as Summer-y as the last. Today, though, I’m sharing the next prompt for Glam Nails Challenge April — tulips.

It’s kind of funny — in all the time I’ve been doing floral, I don’t think I’ve ever done a tulip design. So this was definitely a bit of a challenge for me. While it’s not my most perfect floral ever, I’m super happy with how adorable they turned out.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive Fast Dry Top Coat
  • Essie Play Date
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Jelly Belly Cotton Candy
  • Sally Hansen Good. Kind. Pure. Peony Origins
  • Sinful Colours Yolo Yellow
  • Essie First Class Affair
  • OPI Life Gave Me Lemons
  • OPI My Gecko Does Tricks
  • NailStuff.ca Mermaid Tail Brush Trio

How cute do these flowers look? I would have loved to have taken a picture of them in front of my own garden, but no tulips quite yet. A few more weeks. I think this is such a perfect Springtime look. I love how colourful these are with the purple base & the yellow & pink tulips. Yes yes yes.

What do you think about this tulip design? Do you love a good bright & vibrant Spring-y design, or do you prefer things more subtle?

Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below & what you’re wearing on your nails this week.

Have a great Monday! 🌷

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE APRIL – Easter Bunny 🐰

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! I’m excited because it’s April, & I haven’t participated in a Glam Nails Challenge in a while so I thought it would be fun to participate this month since it’s a Spring-y themed challenge so I thought it would be fun to participate.

The first prompt for this month? Easter bunny. Which is awesome because I love any excuse for some holiday themed nails. I browsed through my Pinterest, & settled on a cute peek-a-boo bunny look.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat
  • LA Colors Mermaid Magic Sea Life
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Ski Bunny
  • Sally Hansen MG Get Mod
  • Sally Hansen MG Pretty Piggy
  • Sally Hansen MG Sugar Fix
  • Sally Hansen MG Orchid-ing Aside
  • Sally Hansen MG Montley Hue
  • NailStuff.ca 4mm Micro Detail Brush
  • Small Dotting tool (NailStuff.ca — Dotting Tool Trio)

How cute did these bunnies turn out? I was a little bit nervous about free-handing these bunnies, but I was really happy with how they turned out. They look so cute! I added the little details like the bows & flowers, but I didn’t want to add little faces because I felt like they would end up way too cartoon-y.

But they turned out perfect! Super Easter-y, & a fun look to wear. Obviously if you wanted to go a little more subtle you could just do one bunny accent, but I was in the mood to go wild!

What do you think about this Easter Bunny nail art look? Can you believe that it’s less than a week to the big day? What is your favourite Easter treat? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!

Romantic Floral Accent Nails (featuring Essie)

Hello beauties & happy Tuesday! I hope everyone’s weekend was lovely, & for those still in the grips of Winter like myself, not too snowy. Today I have another Spring inspired manicure to distract myself from the snow.

For a while, I wasn’t really in a floral kind of mood. You might have noticed, though, things have changed because I’m feeling floral inspired again & loving it. Today is another floral accent nail look, this time featuring one of my all time favourite things to freehand: roses. Seriously, these feel so romantic & lovely, I just can’t get over how pretty they turned out. Like my last floral look, all the shades I used for this design are from my Essie collection.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat
  • Essie Cocktail Bling
  • Essie Blanc
  • Essie Mrs Always Right
  • Essie Gel Couture Princess Charming
  • Essie Swoon in the Lagoon
  • Essie Off Tropic
  • Essie Gel Couture Zip Me Up
  • NailStuff.ca 4mm Micro Detail Brush
  • Dotting tool (NailStuff.ca — Dotting Tool Trio)

Come on… I mean, how pretty did those roses turn out? I seriously could have worn these nails for forever. Or, at least, a week. Which is basically like forever when it comes to me & nail art. I’m just so proud of how they turned out, & I’m already planning on more floral nails in the very near future. I mean, Winter doesn’t seem like it’s going anywhere, so I guess I’ll just have to pretend on my nails.

What do you think of these romantic floral accent nails? Do you love them as much as I love them? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below!

Have a lovely Tuesday. ♥︎

Purple & Gold Colour Blocking

Hello beauties & happy Thursday! I hope everyone is having a lovely week so far. Mine has been busy, & we’re anxiously awaiting another snowstorm. But at least I have some cute nails to show off!

Today’s look was kind of an experiment, I guess. I was just playing around on my nails, but I liked them so much I decided to wear them as a full manicure. I love when that happens! Especially because I am in a nail art rut right now, & struggling with ideas.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat
  • Quo by ORLY Breathable You’re A Gem
  • Quo by ORLY Colour Amp’d Venice
  • Quo by ORLY Colour Amp’d Stadium Way
  • Quo by ORLY Breathable Fairy Godmother
  • NailStuff.ca 16mm Striper Brush

This feels very regal, like something you would see on the dress of Victorian royalty. The colours, & the gold accents — it all feels very royal. It’s a fun look, & relatively quick to do. I also haven’t really dug into my old Quo by ORLY polishes in a while, so I was happy to pull out a few I haven’t worn in a while.

Purple & gold is always a solid colour combination.

What do you think about this colour combination & nail art look? Are you a fan of this purple & gold combination? Let me know all your thoughts down below, & let me know what you’re wearing on your nails lately.

I’ve been starting to feel myself drawn to neon lately, so I would be prepared for some fun neon looks in the future!
