Instagram Leaves Nail Art Collab 🍁🍂

Hello loves & happy Friday! & Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians! Today we’re taking the day off from Glam Nails Challenge for another fun Instagram nail art collab. I’ve enjoyed jumping into this collab a every month — hosted by @essieyall & @petitenailslover.

I’m very excited because this month’s prompt is leaves & I do love a good Fall leaves design.

I really wanted to created a layered leaves look, to mimic like a pile of leaves on the ground. Think I went with too light of a base though — a darker one probably would have allowed for the stamped leaves to pop more! But I do still love how it looks, & I think it’s such a pretty look.

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE OCTOBER— Ghosts

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday. It’s a beautifully crisp Fall day here — which is crazy, because yesterday it was almost 30c! I’m much more keen on the Autumn crispness to be fair.

Today I’m excited because we are continuing Glam Nails Challenge October with the next prompt which is ghosts! 👻 I wanted to create a kind of spooky, kind of cute ghosty look, & this is what I came up with.

Happy little ghost!

I totally didn’t realize I was going a second purple Halloween design in a row, I just really wanted to wear TGIF because of that beautiful blue glow it has! I do just absolutely adore how these ghosts turned out though — better than I could have (& did) picture in my head. Kind of cute, kind of spooky.

Just a fun Halloween look to wear.

Golden Leaf Freehand Nails ✨🍂

Hello lovelies & happy (almost) end of September. It’s hard to believe we’re just 2 days away from October — the best month of the year — but it’s true! I will definitely be participating in Glam Nails Challenge October again, so look forward to some fun & spooky nails to come!

Today though, I’ve got another dark Autumn design to share with you. I’ve really been feeling myself drawn to my darker, more moody shades lately — feeling very Vampy. & what is more Halloween-y than that!

When I say I’m obsessed with how these turned out, I’m serious. I love the bronze-y gold over the dark base, the shimmer from Shine of the Times (which sadly didn’t translate as well in pictures) — everything! This is the epitome of chic Fall nail art, & I didn’t want to take these off at all.

Gold Dotted Moons (featuring OPI Lincoln Park After Dark)

Hello lovelies & happy Monday!

A beautiful Fall morning here on the East Coast. The sun is shining, the leaves are crunching under my boots; the perfect Autumn weather. So naturally, that meant I needed to find another Fall polish favourite for today’s nail art! &

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Quo by ORLY Color Amp’d Top Coat
  • OPI Lincoln Park After Dark
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Goldie Rocks
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

For this look, I wanted to create a kind of moon effect, but using polka dots instead of my usual way of doing them, & I think I was semi-successful. Some of my nails turned out a bit wonky, but over-all I think the intended effect came to fruition. Plus gold just pairs so well with the darkness of Lincoln Park After Dark. I think it’s a fun effect, & a little bit different than my usual gradient dotticures. Next time, though, I might try for smaller dots.

Cosy Fall Dotticure

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! I hope everyone’s had a good weekend. I can’t believe how long it’s been since I posted some legit nail art. The tilt-o-world that was covid made it difficult to even write a blog post, let alone paint my nails. But I did have this look saved up that I wore pre-plague, so I thought I would share it today.

I was digging through my nail polish stash for something I haven’t worn in a long, long time, & came across two OPI shades from my early nail polish days!

Pepe’s Purple Passion was originally released as part of the Muppet’s collection, & I love it for its deep maroon colour with glitter. Definitely an Autumn shade. & I thought some golden polka dots would be the perfect addition. Rolling in Cashmere was released as part of the Gwen Stefani Holiday Collection, & I think it pairs so well with this deep maroon. The beauty is in the simplicity.
