Romantic Vintage Winter Roses

Hello lovelies & happy Tuesday! Hope everyone is having a lovely start to their week so far. It continues to be Winter here, & now that Christmas is over — I am definitely over it! Bring on Spring, please!

Today’s look is one I haven’t done in a while: roses. You know my love affair with anything floral, so I can’t believe it took me so long to paint another floral. Also does this count for as some Valentine’s Day inspiration?

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Millionails
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Dimension Nails Hooded Seal c/o: @nailstuff.ca
  • Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Berry Fancy
  • China Glaze Kiss & Spell
  • Sally Hansen CSM So Much Fawn
  • Dimension Nails Amazonian Manatee
  • China Glaze Treble Maker
  • NailStuff.ca 7mm detail brush
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

How pretty did these turn out? I used Dimension Nails Hooded Seal for my base, which is from her brand new Winter collection. I love the holo shimmer, & the icy blue colour! It’s very, very pretty. I just wish it had been a sunnier day, so you could really see how beautiful the holo is!

I don’t know why, but I just love love love my roses with a blue background. Something just makes the roses always pop so beautifully. I decided to go with a deeper, darker rose because they just felt more Winter-y to me. & I love how they turned out. My middle finger turned out my favourite.

What do you think about this vintage rose design? Would you wear this look? Let me know down in the comments below!

Glam Nails Challenge December— Poinsettia

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday!

Today’s pre-Christmas look is also todays prompt for Glam Nails Challenge December — poinsettia. So I created a cute floral poinsettia accent nail!

Also let me apologize for my pictures — I took them at work, after it was dark outside, so they’re a little rougher than I like to do. But it’s been a busy week! (also reason this manicure is looking a little rougher than usual…)

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie First Base
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Society Ruler
  • Sally Hansen CSM Blush Around the Clock
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Red Carpet
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Blacky-O
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Get Mod
  • OPI How Great Is Your Dane?
  • Icing Emerald City
  • NailStuff.ca 7mm detail brush

The close up is my favourite (minus the blue hair dye peeking by my cuticle… ugh) I feel like these turned out so pretty, & they were surprisingly simple… after I finished my accent nails I kind of wished I had done a couple more fingers. But it is still a lovely accent nail look, & a lovely Christmas look!

What do you think about this nail art look? Do you like my lovely accent nail? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below & what nails you have planned for Christmas Eve.

Fall Inspired Floral (birthday twin nails with @nailstuffca)

Hello lovelies & happy Saturday!

I usually never post on Saturday’s, but yesterday was such a busy day, I didn’t get to get this post together! These nails are twin nails I got together to do with my girl Victoria (@nailstuff.ca) — we are both October birthdays, 2 days apart, so these are some Fall floral birthday twin nails!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie First Base
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • OPI Barefoot in Barcelona
  • China Glaze Autumn’s Up!
  • China Glaze Spice To Meet You
  • China Glazes Loves Em & Leaves Em
  • Essie Satin Sister
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Get Mod
  • Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure So Much Fawn
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Zip Wine
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio
  • NailStuff.ca 7mm detail brush

This design is originally inspired by @rachelsbeauty_.

My base is a bit more pink that the nude she used, but I love how my version turned out! It’s been a while since I did a floral look, & even longer since I did a Fall floral, so I was excited to team up with Victoria for these twin nails. It’s been way too long since I got to do twin nails with anyone!

& this was an extra fun way to mark our birthdays.

What do you think of this floral design? Are they giving you the Fall vibes? Let me know what you think down in the comments below! & don’t forget to check our Victoria’s twin design over at @nailstuff.ca as well!

Glam Nails Challenge September — Autumn Sunflowers 🌻

Hello lovelies & happy Thursday! It’s officially the 2nd of September & my Fall vibes are in full force. I’ve got my pumpkin spice syrup, my plaid shirts & my favourite black tights just ready for cooler temperatures.

I’m also ready for all the Fall polish colours & designs.

After last month’s fun designs with last month’s GlamNailsChallenge, I’ve decided to keep things going with this month’s challenge! & the first challenge is right in my wheelhouse: sunflowers 🌻.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie First Base
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • China Glaze The Snuggle is Real
  • China Glaze Autumn’s Up!
  • China Glaze Spice To Meet You
  • China Glaze Loves You A Latte
  • Essie Check Your Baggage
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio
  • NailStuff.ca 7mm detail brush

How cute did my sunflowers turn out?

I’ve actually never attempted sunflowers before, so I’m really excited with how these came together. Plus, I got to use a few of the new China Glaze Autumn Spice collection shades I just received the other day. & they were absolutely perfect for this design. I have full swatches coming Sunday, but spoiler alert: I’m absolutely obsessed with these shades so be prepared for a lot of designs using these polishes.

Are you excited for another month of Glam Nails Challenge? I feel like all the prompts for September is going to just get me even more ready for Autumn, so I’m very excited.

What are you favourite Fall designs? Let me know what Autumn vibes speak to you most?

Neon Green & Floral

Hello lovelies & happy Tuesday! A beautiful, sunny Tuesday at that. Today I’m going back to my comfort zone with some floral nails — but jazzing things up with a neon base!

Lately I’ve been seeing all this neon green manicures, & I really really needed to paint some neon green on my nails. But obviously I couldn’t leave them plain, so I added some floral overtop!

For this manicure, the polishes I used were:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle
  • Top Coat: Essie Speed Setter
  • China Glaze Be More Pacific
  • Sally Hansen Good.Kind.Pure Peony Origins
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Fuchsia Fever
  • Sally Hansen CSM So Much Fawn
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri VaVa Violet
  • Sally Hansen I ❤️ Nail Art in purple
  • Sally Hansen I ❤️ Nail Art in green
  • Essie Off Tropic
  • NailStuff.ca 7mm detail brush
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

Lately I haven’t felt super inspired, nail art wise, which kind of sucks. Trying my best to get out of my funk with simple looks, but sometimes it’s hard. I’m working particularly long hours right now (like 10 hour days) so when I get home from work, I’m feeling pretty tired, so there is not always enough time for fun nail art looks. Trying my best to inspire myself, but it’s not always easy. Guess I’m going to have to spend a little more time perusing Pinterest for inspo.

What do you think about this floral over neon green? It’s so funny because I’ve just featured 2 neon green manicures back to back, which isn’t a colour I usually reach for. Guess the sunny days are inspiring me… now if only they could shake me out of my nail art funk!

Have a lovely day!
