Red Sparkle & Daisies (My Nails for National Nail Polish Day)

Hello lovelies & happy Thursday! It’s almost the weekend! I hope everyone is having a lovely week so far.

Today I’m excited to show off the manicure I was wearing for National Nail Polish Day — & yes, that more red nail polish haha. I figured I wanted to wear nails that were all encompassing of my personality, & red nails with daisies just did that!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Essence Extreme GEL Top
  • Essie Too Too Hot
  • Essie Shine of the Times
  • Essie Blank Page
  • Essie Check Your Baggage
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio
  • NailStuff.ca 4mm Micro Detail Brush

First off, check out how long my nails currently are! I know I’m enviably due for a break, just because I work a job that is not the kindest of hands/nails, but for right now I’m just going to bask in how long & beautiful they are right now.

Second, I’m so excited for beautiful sunny outdoor shots. I’m living for the sunshine. Not only does it make my nail pictures look lovely, but it just makes my mood so happy.

Third, I adore this Essie-centric manicure for National Nail Polish Day yesterday. I think this is the first time I’ve done a manicure with Essie Too Too Hot & obviously I had to top it with Shine Of The Times. Then, I added some daisies because if I’m celebrating a day dedicated to nail polish, I need some floral (my favourite).

Cute Negative Space Daisy Accent Nail

Hello lovelies & happy Tuesday!

It’s a beautiful, sunny, Spring day here which I’m pumped for. Winter has been way too long — its about time we had some beautiful weather!

Today I’m showing off a Spring-y manicure featuring some negative space action. I needed a quick look but I really wanted some kind of accent. & this Daisy accent nail was created.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

These were super simple to do & I think the end result is very cute.

Matte Spring Floral Accent Nail

Hello lovelies & happy Friday!

The weekend is finally here, which is always exciting. Of course, I work all weekend, but that is besides the point . The weather is finally beginning to feel more Spring-like around here, on occasion, so naturally I want to match that mood with my nails.

Especially since around here, it can turn back to Winter in the matter of a few hours.

I’ve really been craving Spring florals so much lately. Floral just makes everything better. & I just thought a floral would look so beautiful as an accent to this new glittery polish I recently picked up.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Good. Kind. Pure Hardener
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Matte Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Matte Top Coat
  • Glam Doll Electronia
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Get Mod
  • Sally Hansen MG After Alter
  • OPI Two-Timing the Zones
  • L’Oréal Jardin Des Roses
  • Essie Off Tropic
  • L’Oréal Pistache Royale
  • Sally Hansen MG Blacky-O
  • NailStuff.ca 4mm Micro Detail Brush

How cute does this mani look paired against the flowers I got at work? Give me all the florals!

I really like the simplicity of this floral over the glitter, & the matte top coat brought everything together. It gives the glitter polish the look of almost robin’s eggs–serious Spring vibes–& the white flower pops against the blue base. I love it.

Glam Nails Challenge March — Hearts 💚

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! It’s a brand new, fresh week. Hopefully this one will be warmer & more Spring-like (although, I’ll be honest… my hopes are not too high.)

But — I have a brand new look for Glam Nails Challenge March, & I’m excited. The prompt is hearts. Originally I had a completely different heart look done, but I’ll be honest: I was not feeling it. & it did not photograph well. So I did what any crazy person does… I completely redid the manicure at the very last second. & I absolutely adore how they turned out!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Good. Kind. Pure Hardener
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Wrenn Polish I Know Guac is Extra
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Tutu the Ballet
  • Sally Hansen MG Crying Out Cloud
  • OPI Two Timing the Zones
  • L’Oréal Jardin Des Roses
  • L’Oréal Pistache Royale
  • NailStuff.ca 4mm Micro Detail Brush

I’m calling this look Spring Floral Heart, & it turned out exactly how I pictured in my head. This was originally what I thought about doing, but decided to go with a dry marble heart look, which was kind of ugly, so I’m glad I switched back to my original idea.

These were actually pretty easy to do. I started by freehanding my green heart, then added a few tiny flowers & finished off with some green leaf details. & it turned out so beautiful & Spring-y. This is definitely a look I will be attempting again because it’s just lovely!

I mean, how beautiful would this be as a wedding manicure?

What do you think of this floral heart look for my next Glam Nails Challenge March?
