GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE DECEMBER (2024) — Candy Cane

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday.

Another late in the day post, but in my defence I went to bed with a massive headache… & woke up with a migraine. So I wasn’t keen on screens or trying to finish up this post. It’s prompt number 4 of Glam Nails Challenge & this one is Candy Cane. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t copying my candy cane nails from earlier this season, & I think this look turned out super cute!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • Essie Off Tropic *
  • NailStuff Essentials White Dove *
  • Nailstuff Essentials Cardinal *
  • Essie Cosmic Chrome *
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush
  • Largest size from NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

*PR/Gifted

I knew I wanted to do a green base, & I knew I wanted to add some candy cane accents, but I thought it would be cute to add a whole candy cane on my thumbs as an accent.

Also, adding a coat of Essie Cosmic Chrome over the stripes gave it such a cool finish, it really did remind me of a real candy cane! If I’d had any on hand, I would have posed with one, but I hope the little sprinkling of snow we got yesterday is an equally seasonal backdrop.

What do you think about my candy cane nails? What is your favourite flavour of candy cane? While I do appreciate the OG peppermint, I tried the maple syrup flavour in the Brach’s Elf candy cane collection & they were so freaking good! I wish I had a way to go a whole (Costco sized) box of just maple!

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE DECEMBER (2024) — Santa Claus 🎅

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! Today is exciting because it’s our second prompt of Glam Nails Challenge December!

Todays prompt is Santa Claus & I’m laughing at myself because I thought this look was totally a genius idea — turns out it’s exactly the same as the Santa Claus look I did last year (only with a bit more sparkle added!) I guess what they say is true — if it’s not broken, don’t fix it!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Good Cheer-y
  • NailStuff Essentials White Dove *
  • Essie Making Spirits Bright
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

Please excuse the red staining of the negative space part of my nails — a leftover from the pink polish in my previous post. But I love these regardless — even with the déjà vu of it all. I do think I’m more drawn to the shimmer & sparkle this year though. Just give it a little more Holiday Magic!

Happy Friday!

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE DECEMBER (2024) — Jingle Bells

Hello loves & happy Wednesday! & happy first day of Glam Nails Challenge December! I couldn’t end this year without participating in this challenge, & I’m excited for the nail art looks to come (I always get so inspired by these challenges!)

The first prompt of our challenge is Jingle Bells 🔔, which was the perfect excuse for these cute nail art stickers I got last Christmas from NailStuff. I really wanted a fun look to start our designs this month, & I think I made it happen!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • Essie Expressie Mic Drop-If-Low
  • Sinful Colours Pride
  • Nail Stuff Christmas Holly & Jolly Nail Stickers

Do these not feel like a celebration to you? The bells are so cute, & the glitter from my glitter gradient sort of looks like confetti falling.

These are giving party nails for sure, which is the perfect manicure to start off our challenge this month! & there are so many fun looks to come for December. I’m really excited for all the prompts — hopefully they get me in a more festive mood.

What do you think of this look for my first prompt of Glam Nails Challenge December? Don’t forget that you can follow along with all the designs this month with the hashtag #glamnailschallengedec24.

It’s so hard to believe that we are in our last month of the year, or that Christmas is only 3 weeks away. 2024 has been a whirlwind.

Happy Wednesday

Glittery Dotticure

Hello loves & happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend.

As you may have noticed in yesterday’s post, I’m back to rocking shorter nails. & Sometimes short nails can feel kind of lame, so I decided to do something fun. I’m all about the glitter right now, so I felt like some sparkle was much needed — & I wanted to create another version of this nail art look I did last New Year’s Eve, but with a darker base this time.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • OPI Less is Norse
  • OPI Infinite Shine Put On Something Ice
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

How cute are these little sparkles? I tried my best to get a little sparkle in each dot but it wasn’t always the easiest. Still looks so pretty against the darker blue base shade of Less is Norse.

It’s also giving me Christmas inspo to try this with a white base & green & red glittery polishes!

What do you think of this glittery dotticure on my new shorties? Do you like this look? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below & let me know what you’re wearing right now!

Cosy Matte Knit Nails

*contains PR

Good morning lovelies & happy Friday. & happy (almost) weekend! Can you believe we’re halfway through November? I know I say this every month, but it’s truly astonishing how quickly this year is coming to a close.

But I do appreciate all the nail art ideas this time of year! Because there are so many you can do! Today I was feeling some knit inspired nails. This is a design I’ve done before, & it’s perfect for a pre-holiday, late Autumn look.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • Matte Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Matte Top Coat *
  • Essie Expressie Feel The Hype*
  • Essie Bikini So Teeny*
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush

How cute is this knit effect? It reminds me of the sweaters & scarves I’ve been layering on because it’s been freezing lately — & I get cold easily anyways. This is such an easy look to do, too, & you can use any colour. In fact, I’m already brainstorming a fun Red scarf inspired look in my head.

It’s also the perfect nail art look for any nail length—short of long, it will look great on your nails!

What do you think about this knit inspired nail art look? Do you like the colours & pattern? What nail art are you loving right now? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!

Happy Friday.
