Matte Chevron Moons

What are your favourite Fall colours? For me I tend to reach towards your Navy blues, deep maroons and dark purples. And matte top coat! Ohhhhh I’m so Matte obsessed right now. 

It had been a while since I’d worn any kind of moon manicure–my favourite go to when lacking inspiration–so I decided on a pretty combination of some Fall beauties.  

   

The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • Nicole by OPI Shoot for the Maroon
  • Essie After School Boy Blazer
  • Stripe Rite  Striper in Gold 
  • Seche Vite 
  • L’oreal The Matte Velvet matte top coat. 

Shoot for the Maroon was a recent buy (the husband picked it out) and holy amazingness when Matte! It’s pretty normally but add some Matte top coat and it’s a whole other level! I love it! 

  

  
Also I can’t stop obsessing about Essie After School Boy Blazer–it is by far my favourite Navy. I need to try it out with my ACO by Ardene Crystal Fog because I think the combination would be incredible!

Purple and Silver Dry Marble. 

 I haven’t attempted a dry marble manicure since my failed attempted at the 31 Day Challenge last year, so I thought I was overdue for another go! This was actually attempt number 2… My first try was mega nail fail. But once I figured out the technique I needed to use, it was smooth sailing. And you can probably tell by my abundance of pictures that I absolutely adore these! 

  
 
The polishes I used for this manicure were:

  • Hard Candy Zombie
  • Finger Paints Wanna Gogh Dance?
  • Seche Vite
  • L’oreal The Matte Velvet top coat.

   
 
I love how different each nail looks. My Husband almost always goes to bed before I finish my nails at night, so this morning I literally shoved my fingers in his face and was like “LOOK!” 

I might need to start doing more of these manicures now that I don’t just make an utter mess! It’s just so pretty– especially all mattified!

My wedding nails! 

So I had a fairly exciting weekend–the Mr and I got married!  Obviously when we started talking wedding I couldn’t help but trying to figure out my wedding mani. I knew I wanted blue incorporated, and I knew I wanted floral. In the end they ended very different from what I had originally intended to do, but I simply loved them!

I also wore Sally Hansen original formula Pacific Blue on my toes which peeked out from my wedding shoes.

Inspired by! My notebook. 

 As the saying goes, inspiration is everywhere. Today’s nails were inspired by the inside cover of one of my many notebooks. I was tidying the other day when I stumbled across it–the second I opened it up the first thing I thought was “I have to recreate that on my nails!”

 I love love love how my accent nails turned out! I almost wish I had done all 10 nails with the chevron pattern! This mani just makes me so happy! I love how well the colours go together.

Stained Glass Colour Block Nails. 

 Good morning Lovelies! 

I’m feeling Fall colours hard. The other day I was organizing my Fall polishes and really wanted to wear them all! I decided that some kind of colour block mani would be the closest way I could do that!

Oh man I love these colours so much. I’m just starting to build my Finger Paints stash and I never realized just how amazing their polishes are! I’m in love! 😍 I can’t wait to wear Surreal Sunset and Queen for a Night on their own. Just so pretty! I’m in love. 😍

My QUO by ORLY Striper is starting  to get kinda of goopy so my lines are a little messy. Never less, I love this combination of colours so much! 

 
Are there any Fall polishes you’re dying to buy? I have my eyes on those Gorgeous Essie Fall colours! And the everything from the China Glaze Fall collection! I’m going to do a post on my favourite Fall polishes soon!
