I was feeling some multichrome vibes–which always happens as we get closer to Fall–so I decided to pull out a great shifty polish to curb my vampy polish craving: Claire’s Chromance.
Hello lovelies & happy Thursday! Today I have what might possibly be my favourite & most gorgeous nail art ever to share with you.
Today’s look is a galaxy design, which I haven’t done in over two years! After browsing all my duo & multichrome polishes (while thinking about my favourite Fall shades), I decided it would be fun to pair a few in a galaxy design. 🌌 & oh boy did it turn out beautiful!
For this manicure, the polishes I used were:
Look at the close up & those glitters! How gorgeous! It really does look like some far off galaxy.
I always forget how easy Galaxy nails can be until I start doing them. I love the fat they don’t have to be perfectly crafted, you kind of just go in with your collection of colours & see how they turn out, maybe adding some polka dots for stars. I actually created a tutorial for galaxy nails in the very early days of my blog which can be found here. I will definitely say that the longer your nails are, the better your galaxies will turn out.
Again, just check out that close up action & those glitters! Have you ever seen anything more beautiful? I’m just so, so happy with how this design turned out. Which, let’s be honest you can probably tell because I took about 1000 pictures of this look to share!
I just can’t stop staring… why has it taken me so long to do another galaxy design? I never want to take these off!

Hello lovelies & Happy Sunday! That’s right, another week & another swatch post! Trying my best to find time to pain my nails when I can so I can keep my posting semi consistent-ish.
Today’s Swatch pick is an older polish from my stash but such a great Summer shade: ORLY Fireball. I found this beauty as part of a two-pack at Winners or Marshall’s (I can’t remember which) a few years ago, but according to Google it was originally released as part of the Summer 2015 Adrenaline Rush collection.
Fireball is a super vibrant neon coral which leans very red, & has a gorgeous fuchsia shimmer. For my swatches, I did 2 coats of polish over base coat, & finished with Essie Gel Setter Top Coat. On its own, like most Neons, Fireball does dry down to a semi matte finish, but because I was trying to be quick (& adding nail art) I decided to top coat it. Originally I though this shade was going to need some white undies, but I was impressed that this formula was opaque in 2 coats.
Above you can see the fuchsia shimmer both in the bottle & a close up on my nails. I love how it looks because it takes what could just be a coral neon & transforms it to a something little extra which gives it a serious POP! on the nail. & I also think it makes this polish a great transitional shade for the end of Summer as well–this paired with a maroon or darker Fall shade in a half moon or chevrons would make for an awesome almost Fall design.
& lets be honest… it’s almost that time of year where my obsession for Fall becomes real, so I’m already thinking about Fall manicure ideas.

Happy Sunday lovelies! I’m continuing to share my favourite Fall shades this week with another fabulously vampy shade that I’m seriously digging right now: Color Club Jewel of a Girl. I recently picked up this polish the clearance section of my favourite pharmacy for the ever fantastic deal of $1.99.
This polish was originally released all the way back in Fall of 2010 as part of the Untamed Luxury collection. However, you can still buy it online over at NailpolishCanada.com.
For these swatches, I did base coat, two layers of colour plus top coat (Essie Speed Setter).
Color Club Jewel of a Girl is a deep rich shimmery wine shade, that definitely has purple undertones & can even lean a little brown. This colour just… it’s everything. It’s like Fall in a bottle & reminds me of that meme that pops up around Facebook this time of year. Doesn’t it just make you want to curl up in a knit blanket & drink pumpkin spice lattes & pull on your favourite pair of over the knee boots?
The formula was pretty spot on for this shade. The first coat was a little thin but as so as I applied my second coat, it was perfectly opaque. Because I know nobody has time for waiting for 4 coats of polish to dry.
I was also impressed with the shine of the polish just on its own–I added topcoat because it was 11pm & I was heading to bed shortly after so I needed dry nails, but even before they looked pretty good!
This polish is everything & I seriously can’t get enough. Not only because it was less than $2, but just the colour & shimmer are perfection. Even if Mother Nature is keeping Summer alive, I can bask in Fall vibes with my nails & pretend I’m wearing my favourite sweater dress instead of still living in my Summer dresses.

Happy Sunday my lovelies! Today’s post is a goodie–something perfect for these cooler Fall days. 🍁 Today I’m sharing a polish from the Zoya Winter 2015 collection called Yves. This beauty was found last Summer at my local Winners & has been sitting untouched in my Melmer, just waiting for the perfect opportunity to be worn. & what is more perfect that the beginning of Fall.
Yves is a sapphire blue matte polish with a scattered blue shimmer. For my swatches, I used two tricky coats, but I could have definitely gone with 3 as I had some bald spots that could have benefited from an extra coat. I also used 2 coats of thick base coat under my swatches as this is definitely a stainer. & nobody wants their nails permanently stained blue. (I’m already dealing with blue hair dye that doesn’t want to fade for me.)
This polish is definitely gorgeous. & it’s been way too long since I wore just blue on my nails. I was quite impressed with how the polish dried down (to its satin matte finish) but I think I love it even more with top coat over top–you can really see that blue shimmer & it feels much more jewel like. Down below you can really see just how stunning it is with top coat (& just ignore those spots where I could have benefited from an extra coat of polish.)

Zoya Yves is definitely a stunner, & I’m living for these jewel tones right now. 💎 Fall has me feeling all these dark shades I’ve been ignoring during Summer months & I’ve ESPECIALLY missing my darker shades. They’re just so good!

After googling the rest of the shades in the collection, I’m definitely going to need to pick up a few of the others. You can never have too many jewel toned polishes in your collection for Fall.
