February floral.

Hello February! Crazy how quickly January flew by. This is about the time in the year where I start craving Spring so I thought some floral would be fitting. I also haven’t done a floral since September, so it was long overdue.

Base colour is Sally Hansen I Lilac You which is such a pretty soft purple, and very Spring-y. For my roses, I used a dotting tool, small detail brush, and a whole bunch of pink polishes (and a few greens for the leaves).

Roses were the first nail art, aside from polka dots, I ever really attempted so they hold a special place in my heart. Plus they are so girlie so they’re great for this month with Valentine’s Day quickly approaching!

My thumb is definitely my favourite nail of this design. It just turned out so well so I had to take a solo shot of it. I also apologize for the growth–I’ve been wearing these nails for the last two days.

What do you think of my floral nails–are you craving Spring as much as I am?

Romantic Roses.

Floral was one of the first nail art designs I taught myself to do, so it will always be one of my favourites. There are just so many different ways you can do it!

Since it’s still definitely Summer outside (even though my heart is craving Fall) I thought I would do some girlie pink roses.

The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • Base coat: Quo by Orly Nail Nutrition.
  • OPI Kiss Me- or Elf!
  • Orly Decades of Dysfunction
  • China Glaze Glow With the Flow
  • Quo by Orly Happy and Healthy
  • Quo by Orly The Antedote
  • Quo by Orly Striper in White
  • Essie Jiggle Hi, Jiggle Lo
  • Essie Gel Setter

For the mani, I also used:

  • Small nail art brush from Born Pretty Store
  • Dotting tool from Amazon

What was the first nail art you ever taught yourself to do? Is it still a favourite? Let me know in the comments below! 💗

Negative Space Chevron floral

I always have a few favourite things I always lean towards when it comes to doing my nails. Right now its blue nail polish, nail vinyls, chevrons, negative space & floral. I’ve been reaching for all of those quite frequently, so why not incorporate all of those things into one manicure?!

For this manicure, I used:

  • China Glaze I Sea the Point
  • Essie Go Ginza
  • Essie Peach Daiquiri
  • China Glaze Hang Ten Toes
  • China Glaze Feel the Breeze
  • Chevron Nail vinyls from My Nails Did Vinyls
  • Small rhinestones from Icing
  • Essie Gel Setter
  • Small nail art brush, & large size dotting tool for floral details.

Words cannot begin to describe how much I love how this mani turned out! I love how the floral looks over my negative space chevrons & how all the colours compliment each other. I’ve been having so much fun playing with all of my nail vinyls, & I can’t wait to collect more designs so I can try out all sorts of different looks!
