Instagram Leaves Nail Art Collab 🍁🍂

Hello loves & happy Friday! & Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians! Today we’re taking the day off from Glam Nails Challenge for another fun Instagram nail art collab. I’ve enjoyed jumping into this collab a every month — hosted by @essieyall & @petitenailslover.

I’m very excited because this month’s prompt is leaves & I do love a good Fall leaves design.

I really wanted to created a layered leaves look, to mimic like a pile of leaves on the ground. Think I went with too light of a base though — a darker one probably would have allowed for the stamped leaves to pop more! But I do still love how it looks, & I think it’s such a pretty look.

Instagram Space Collab 🌌

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! I hope everyone’s having the most lovely week. I had yesterday off, & the kids had their first day of school, so it was a nice relaxing day where I caught up on laundry & blog stuff.

Today, though, I’m excited to share a new design I did as part of the monthly Instagram collaboration hosted by @Essiyall & @Petitenaillover. I’ve been having so much fun with these large collabs, & this month’s theme was SPACE. It’s been a bit since I did a galaxy design, so I was pumped.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Quo by ORLY Color Amp’d Top Coat
  • China Glaze Glamcore

  • NailStuff.ca 4mm Micro Detail Brush

For this look, I went with the classic sponge effect for my design. I used two shades I thought suited each other well, especially the shifty base of Mermaids Have More Fun. Then I added the little details of the stars, for that fun galaxy effect. I really like how everything came together.

Instagram Mermaidcore Collab 🧜‍♀️🩵

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! Todays nail art look is another special collaboration I did with some fellow nail artists on Instagram. & it’s very fitting, as I’m currently on my way to vacation at Ocean’s Playgound (aka Prince Edward Island, Canada). So this Mermaidcore look is totally fitting for our fun ocean vacation this weekend.

For my mermaid themed look, I decided to go with a classic scale look. I don’t have a scale stamping plate, sadly, but I decided to pull out one of my older stamping plates & see if it would work for a scale pattern — & it did!

Do you think I captured the Mermaidcore aesthetic? Obviously I had to add a little extra shimmer with the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Unicorn Top Coat over my stamped design. & I think it turned our absolutely perfect, & just the nail art look I was going for.

Mermaid vibes all the way.

Instagram Sun Nail Art Collab ☀️

Hello loves & happy Friday. It’s a bright, sunny & hot Friday which is perfect! I recently teamed up again with a group of Instagram girlies for a fun collab & the theme is perfect for this weather: the sun. ☀️

We actually just went through almost 3 weeks straight of rain so it’s nice to see a bit of sunshine again — even with a very high heat warning.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

This was not actually the original design I did — that one I smeared with top coat. But I do like this one better. I love the pop of yellow over the pink base, & I think my swirly suns turned out perfect.

Instagram Summer Treats Nail Art Collab 🍦

Hello lovelies — happy Friday. We have a weekend of rain in the forecast, which I’m so happy for because my entire province has basically been on fire this week, & we’re in desperate need of a reprieve from the heat. So everyone send rain vibes. 🌧️

Today, though, I’m sharing a look I did a week or so back for a nail art collab I joined! You might remember I did another one last month, & it was so much fun I thought I’d do it again! This time the theme was Summer Treats. & my favourite treat of the Summer: ICE CREAM!

This is actually a recreation of a design I did all the way back in June 2016. I loved it so much the first time, I thought it would be perfect for this nail art collar — with some updates! I love the neon ice cream, I love my glitter “sprinkles”. I just think this whole look turned out too, too cute!
