Glam Nails Challenge December — Holly

Hello loves & Happy Monday!

Everyone survived their weekend okay? Today we’re continuing on with Glam Nails Challenge December. The next prompt is Holly, which I thought was a nice one. There are so many ways to create holly nails, which I discovered stalking Pinterest, but I decided to harken back to my floral days this freehand holly bush design!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-chip Top Coat
  • China Glaze Shore Enuff
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Fanta-Seas
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Ski Bunny
  • Sally Hansen MG He’s Her Lobster
  • Quo by Orly Diva
  • Mermaid Tail Nail Brush Trio (11mm Liner Brush)
  • Dotting tool (I always use mine from NailStuff.ca — Dotting Tool Trio)

Seriously, how cute did these accent nails turn out? Again, feeling those festive vibes. Also my 5 year old guessed exactly what these were, so that felt like a win! & he told me my green glittery nails looked like a Christmas tree so I feel like I’m looking very festive with this look.

Also it’s been absolute ages since I did any form of floral nails — not even sure why, I just haven’t been inspired to really do them. But free handing this look kind of gave me the itch again & made me realize how much I miss floral nails. So maybe I’ll make an attempt at poinsettia nails, or something. I do like this rustic kind of look.

Have you been continuing to follow along with all the prompts for Glam Nails Challenge December on Instagram? It’s already the 12th of December, which means less than 2 weeks until Christmas Eve. How nuts is that? It also means we’re almost half way through this challenge (& month)… & almost completely done with 2022!

Have a lovely Monday!

  1. THIS, now THIS – this I want on my nails right this second. However, I would never have the patience, especially when trying to paint my dominant hand. GORGEOUS! Thank you so much for sharing!
