Hello lovelies & happy Friday!
It’s been a long, long while since my last Fashion Friday post, & the weather has certainly shifted since my last OOTD post. We’ve gone from light Fall breezes to full on snowstorms, which means my fashion choices have transformed as well.
& how would I describe my fashion style for the current Autumn weather? It’s all about layers!
This look is definitely one I’ve been repeating, featuring different the different sweaters in my closet. I’m all about the layers, & keeping warm, so I’ve been piling knits on top of knits from head to toe. & for some odd reason, late Fall/Winter is the only time where I actually reach for leggings. But don’t worry—I’ve got an extra pair of tights on underneath, because I am always way too cold.
& my current favourite accessory right now, aside from these Nine West Knee High Booties I’ve own since University? The beanie! Not going to lie, Mary Kate & Ashley are once again inspiring my fashion choices with their flawless New Yorker style. But, to be honest, when aren’t they?
So what do you think about this look? I’d say oversized sweaters, leggings, & excessive layers are definitely my Fall uniform. What about you? What are your current style staples? Let me know in the comments below!
Hello lovelies & happy Friday. It’s been a while since I posted a OOTD post, so I thought it would be fun to share a new outfit post!
Recently, I’ve been going through my closet rediscovering old clothing all over again. I have the worst habit of wearing the same favourites over & over again, so I’ve been making an effort to grab shirts I haven’t worn in a long time. & today’s look is featuring a very old shirt I’ve had since my university days, & was actually my Mom’s in the 80s!
Jeans: Ardene High Waisted Flare Cut ( Similar ones from the Gap here)
Not even lying, slipping into this shirt was a serious trip back to my University years (click here to see baby Shannon rocking this shirt circa 2009). This shirt used to be one of my go to shirts during those years, & I feel like I haven’t worn it nearly enough in the last 10ish years. The shirt was actually found deep in my Mom’s old clothing stash, & I think technically it was a PJ shirt. But I think it makes the most boho blouse ever, & it’s so much fun to wear!
& I think pairing it was my favourite flare jeans & gladiator sandals really completes the look. Also I’m glad flare jeans are making a comeback, because man I love them so much. They’re definitely my favourite jean style!
What do you think about this look? What item of clothing from your closet have you not grabbed in a while? Let me know in the comments! I
definitely encourage you to grab that shirt/dress/whatever from the recesses of your closet & give it a spin! It’s fun talking a trip down outfits past for sure!
Hello lovelies & Happy Friday! Today’s Fashion Friday post is dedicated to something special — April 17th is World Hemophilia Day, a fact brought to my attention by my friend Victoria (aka @hitchingsstitches on Instagram). Last year I did some beautiful red roses, but since it falls on Friday this year, I wanted to dedicated my OOTD.
For those who might not know, hemophilia is a bleeding disorder that personally affects both her beautiful little boys. As a Mom, I can’t image dealing with something so scary, so I’m always happy to show my support. In fact, myself & both kiddos are wearing red to show support today (& if I can I’ll try to get a picture of all three of us!)

I bought this shirt almost two years ago on clearance at H&M, & absolutely fell in love with the dramatic sleeves. But honestly, I think I’ve actually worn it once… maybe. But after my post looking at old outfits of years past, I’ve kind of been inspired to pull out my more stand out pieces from my closet. I mean, that’s when I’m not wearing my usual social isolation rotation of sweats. Haha.
What do you think about this look? Are you wearing red today for World Hemophilia Day? If you haven’t thought about it, & have the chance, I definitely enough you to throw something red on (your favourite red shirt, your favourite red polish) & use the hashtag #redforhemophilia on Instagram if you post about! ♥️
Today I have a bit of a different Fashion Friday post to share with you. I’ll be honest — like in self isolation means the majority of the time I’m wearing comfy pants & my favourite sweatshirts, which while I think I look adorable, aren’t really the most fashion forward looks. So I had a really fun idea for today’s post — I thought I would react to old fashion looks from my old blog!
Once upon a time, aka 10+ years ago, I used to document my daily fashion looks. It’s been a while since I went through that old blog, but I actually really love looking at old pictures & old outfits — it’s like a time capsule into another time in my life.
Hello lovelies & happy Friday. & happy first FULL day of Spring!
It feels like I’ve been waiting for this day too long. & even though it doesn’t quite feel like Spring yet, that doesn’t mean I haven’t already started dreaming about wearing all my favourite Spring-y dresses — literally, as soon as it’s warm enough I don’t think about wearing pants. I’m all about the dress. So just for fun I thought I’d share my 5 favourite dresses to wear when it comes to warmer months, all from deep in my own closet!
