GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE OCTOBER 2025 — Ghost 👻

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! It’s hope your week has been as calm & peaceful as can be.

Today is our third prompt for Glam Nails Challenge October, which is ghost! I do love a good ghost design especially this time of year, so I was excited to give this a go. I wanted to create a ghost look slightly different from ones I’ve done in the past, & I think I managed to create a spooky & fun look. & I’m so in love with how they turned out.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen InstaDri Top Coat (red bottle)
  • Base Coat: Essie Hard to Resist (purple)
  • China Glaze Skyscraper
  • Essence Pastel Ombre Top Coat
  • OPI Alter Ego
  • Icing Store Black
  • Small Dotting Tool (NailsStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio)

So the trick of creating these translucent ghosties is using a really, really shear white polish (or mixing a more opaque white with a clean polish to thin it out.) I Have this Essence Pastel Ombre Top Coat from years, & years ago, & while I’ve never used it for an ombre design, it works perfectly for nail art like this! I also added a bit of OPI Alter Ego for a bit of extra shimmer/glow.

What do you think about this ghostly design? Do you like the spooky sheer effect of the ghosts. I feel like these ones are definitely more on the spooky side, compared to my ghost designs of years past — which I’m loving! Let’s go for all the spooky vibes this October — I am here for it!

Happy Wednesday

Autumn Floral Accent Nails🌻🍂

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! How is everyone enjoying their week so far First full week of school for the kiddos, & today is the first day I have all to myself so I’m going to enjoy some nail painting (& much overdo room cleaning!) First up, though, I have some beautiful Fall floral accent nails I recently painted on my nails, & they turned out so beautifully. So I thought you might enjoy them!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Essie Good To Go Top Coat
  • Base Coat: Essie Hard to Resist (purple)
  • Essie Expressie Take The Espresso
  • Essie Fall for NYC
  • Essie Get Your Groove On
  • Essie Merino Cool
  • Essie Wind in the Willow
  • NailStuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush
  • NailsStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

Look at the close up! Oh, these are the nails that make me the happiest. Floral accent nails have always been one of my favourite designs. & I think the combination of colour is absolutely Autumn on the nail. Plus it matches the Brown Eyed Susans in our garden so perfectly — they made the perfect background for my pictures.

What do you think of this Autumn inspired floral design? Are you feeling the Autumn vibes as much as I am? Our neighbours have started decorating for Fall, which makes me happy to see whenever I’m out walking. This is just my favourite time of year, & I’m ready to embrace it fully.

Burgundy Strip Accent Nails

Hey Beauties & happy Friday. I hope you’ve had a beautiful week. It feels like the world is on fire right now — literally —so it can be so hard to sit back, & feel any semblance of happiness. Here is hoping for calmer & peaceful days ahead.

I was feeling something Autumn-ish. I know, I just can’t help myself! But I tried not to lean too hard onto the Autumn aesthetic — well, not yet at least.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Essie Good To Go Top Coat
  • Base Coat: China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifier
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Cinnasnap
  • Sally Hansen Good Kind Pure Love You Lotus
  • Sally Hansen Good Kind Pure Black Stone
  • Sally Hansen Good Kind Pure Almond Tan
  • Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Clean Slate
  • Sally Hansen CSM Ruby Do
  • NailStuff.ca Mermaid Tail Brush Trio (I used the 7mm liner brush)

A little rustic looking close up, but kind of gives that hand knit sweater feel to them. & even though I’m probably a month & a half away from needing any kind of knit sweater — I’m dreaming of those days! — it doesn’t mean I can’t wear a version on my nails!

Can’t you just imagine wearing this look while perusing the Halloween aisle & sipping on a pumpkin spice latte? I can. & it gets me so excited!

What do you think of these Autumn-esque accent nails? Would you wear this design on your own nails? Please share all your thoughts in the comments below — I love hearing what people think!

Happy weekend

Pink Roses & Baby’s Breath Bouquet Manicure

Hello loves & happy Friday! I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far. It’s been a beautiful week here so far, but honestly I won’t like — the nights have been giving Autumn. It’s been cool, & nice, & has me craving pumpkin everything. I’m just such a basic girl, & I’m okay with that.

But, I won’t jump into the Autumn vibe nails quite yet — I’ll wait until Starbucks releases their PSL at least. So I have some pretty floral nails to share with you.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Essie Gel Setter Top Coat
  • Base Coat: China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifier
  • Essie Gel Couture Electric Geometric *pr
  • Essie Shine of the Times
  • Essie Princess Charming
  • Essie Mrs. Always Right
  • Essie Gel Couture Gossamer Garments *pr
  • Essie Wind in the Willow *pr
  • Essie Bustling Bazaar
  • OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool

I absolutely love these. I love the base with the glitter. I love how my roses turned out. I love the little bit of babies breath. I just think the whole design came together beautifully, & I truly adore them.

Also, my 10 year wedding anniversary is coming up this September, & I think I’m going to recreate my wedding nails (again) 10 years later. I did it back in 2018 so I thought it would be fun to do now… what do you think? Would you like to see me do another recreation of my original wedding nails, or maybe what I would do now if I were to paint my nails to get married?

Let me know what you think!

Do you love these romantic roses? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below. Happy Friday!

Simple Daisy Accent Nails 🌿🌼

Hello loves & happy Friday. The weekend is finally here — isn’t that exciting?

Today I have a simple & beautiful nail art look to share with you, featuring just a few of my favourite things. I had this idea for a simple red manicure with a few floral accents. & what is my favourite flower of all time? Daisies of course. So I painted a few miniature daisy accent flowers, which turned. out super dainty & beautiful.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Essie Gel Setter Top Coat
  • Base Coat: China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifier
  • NailStuff Essentials Cardinal *pr
  • OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI
  • Essie Bustling Bazaar
  • Essie Fall For NYC
  • NailStuff.ca 4mm Micro Detail Brush

Oh how cute are my little daisies.

My whole vision was I wanted a floral look that you didn’t notice at first glance, because it was small & dainty. & I think I captured that. We know, I love love love a red manicure — it’s the colour you can catch me wearing most often when I’m just doing a “quick” manicure — but sometimes I want to add something a little special.

& these daisies turned out special.

What do you think about my hand painted dainty daisies? Do you like small nail art features like these?

Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below — I’d love to know what you think!

Happy Friday
