Instagram Leaves Nail Art Collab 🍁🍂

Hello loves & happy Friday! & Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians! Today we’re taking the day off from Glam Nails Challenge for another fun Instagram nail art collab. I’ve enjoyed jumping into this collab a every month — hosted by @essieyall & @petitenailslover.

I’m very excited because this month’s prompt is leaves & I do love a good Fall leaves design.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

I really wanted to created a layered leaves look, to mimic like a pile of leaves on the ground. Think I went with too light of a base though — a darker one probably would have allowed for the stamped leaves to pop more! But I do still love how it looks, & I think it’s such a pretty look.

Instagram Sun Nail Art Collab ☀️

Hello loves & happy Friday. It’s a bright, sunny & hot Friday which is perfect! I recently teamed up again with a group of Instagram girlies for a fun collab & the theme is perfect for this weather: the sun. ☀️

We actually just went through almost 3 weeks straight of rain so it’s nice to see a bit of sunshine again — even with a very high heat warning.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • NailStuff.ca 4mm Micro Detail Brush

This was not actually the original design I did — that one I smeared with top coat. But I do like this one better. I love the pop of yellow over the pink base, & I think my swirly suns turned out perfect.

Instagram Summer Treats Nail Art Collab 🍦

Hello lovelies — happy Friday. We have a weekend of rain in the forecast, which I’m so happy for because my entire province has basically been on fire this week, & we’re in desperate need of a reprieve from the heat. So everyone send rain vibes. 🌧️

Today, though, I’m sharing a look I did a week or so back for a nail art collab I joined! You might remember I did another one last month, & it was so much fun I thought I’d do it again! This time the theme was Summer Treats. & my favourite treat of the Summer: ICE CREAM!

This is actually a recreation of a design I did all the way back in June 2016. I loved it so much the first time, I thought it would be perfect for this nail art collar — with some updates! I love the neon ice cream, I love my glitter “sprinkles”. I just think this whole look turned out too, too cute!

Instagram Floral Collab 🌸🌿

This design took so many polishes to create, but it was absolutely worth it. & I think I remembered all the shades I used for this design. There was quite a few of them.

I was so excited to be a part of this collaboration & join so many talented nail artists. I really love challenging myself like this, because sometimes it’s hard to come up with designs all on my own.

Nail Art Warriors for Maria (@so_nailicious)

Hello lovelies.

Today’s post is a special one for a very special member of the nail art community. Maria, aka @so_nailicious, has been a huge inspiration in the nail art world for a long time, & a personal nail art inspiration to me since I really started painting my nails. Over the last year, she has been facing some really tough health battles as she was diagnosed with MS, & as a result been forced to stop doing things that once brought her joy… like painting her nails. So Magda (@redheadnails) banded a group of us together so do some very special manicures in her honour, & I absolutely had to jump at the opportunity!

The colours orange & blue were chosen — orange, which is the colour for MS awareness, & blue which is a colour Maria loves. We also went with a “power” theme, to inspire & show off the strength that Maria is showing in her fight against this heart wrenching disease.

As I mentioned, I was super proud to do these nails in honour of Maria, as her nails & nail art has been an inspiration of mine for a long time, & I wanted to show even though she may be struggling right now & unable to do one of the things she loves, she’s still inspiring her friends in the nail art community everyday!
