Holographic Swirls (with the Ella + Mila Enchanted collection)

Good morning lovelies & happy Tuesday. Sorry for the unannounced hiatus — after my busy week last week, I woke up Sunday morning feeling like I got hit by a bus thanks to the cold from Hell. Thankfully, I’m finally feeling better today (thank you DayQuil) but I am behind on posting!

Today I’m sharing a fun sparkly design that I think is perfect as we approach Holiday Party Season. & I accomplished this look using the entire Ella + Mila Enchanted (B) collection. I feel like November (& into December) is why my craving for glitter really skyrockets, so expect lots of glitter in the next few weeks as we get into Christmas/Holiday mode!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Ella + Mila All About The Base (Base Coat) *
  • Top Coat: Ella + Mila In A Rush (Top Coat) *
  • Ella + Mila Everglow *
  • Ella + Mila Oasis *
  • Ella + Mila Dragonfly *
  • Ella + Mila Violet Skies
  • Ella + Mila Zephyr *
  • Ella + Mila Aurora Lights *
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush

*gifted

Love the negative space base (with some added shimmer thanks to Everglow) & then the stripes of holographic. The sparkle is unbelievable & definitely perfect for any shindig you have coming up to celebrate. Ella + Mila have also just launched some great nail art stripers, so if you’re looking to try out a nail art look like this, I definitely recommend checking them out!

What do you think of these sparkly abstract stripes? Do you think this is a nail art look you could see yourself trying & wearing, especially as we get into party season?

Happy Halloween!

I have one more Halloween nail art look to share with you, & this one is an easy to recreate one! I decided on some holo spider webs — the only kind of spider webs I will entertain.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • Essie Kimono Over
  • Ella + Mila Zephyr *
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush

How cute are these holographic spider webs? & as someone who is fairly arachnophobic, I feel like me calling anything involving spiders is pretty huge. Ella + Mila Zephyr is a great silver hill, & makes some beautiful lines for this design. I’m a fan!

What do you think of my holographic spider webs? Do you like this design? Let me know what you think, & what Halloween treat you’ll be snacking on tonight!

Have a fun & safe Halloween loves. 🎃

Easy Halloween Skittle with Ella + Mila

Hello lovelies & happy Thursday! The countdown is officially on — we have one week until Halloween! Guess it is time to sneak in as many Halloween manicures as I can!

Today we’re starting off easy with some Halloween nail art stickers on a skittle. I was recently gifted some beautiful polishes from Ella + Mila, & I thought they would be a fun base for some new Dollarama nail art stickers! So I paired the colours together with a few simple stickers & I think it turned out so fun. Chic & simple.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Ella + Mila All About The Base (Base Coat) *
  • Top Coat: Ella + Mila In A Rush (Top Coat) *
  • Ella + Mila Oasis *
  • Ella + Mila Dragonfly *
  • Ella + Mila Violet Skies
  • Ella + Mila Zephyr *
  • Dollarama Halloween Nail Art Stickers

How beautiful are these shades from Ella + Mila? I feel like these colours are perfect for Halloween nail art that’s not typical colours. I mean, I feel like purple & orange are classic Halloween colours, but the dark purple & pink do work as well too. I will have full Swatches of the whole collection I was send coming hopefully this weekend, or the next. But I couldn’t wait to put on a few of the shades as soon as I received them! They’re just so beautiful.

(You can use THIS LINK to check out their site — it is an affiliate link so thank you if you use it!)

& I recently found more fun new Halloween nail art stickers at my local Dollarama store, so naturally I needed to use them immediately. For $1.25 they’re such a steal!

What do you think about this manicure? Do you like this Halloween skittle? Would you wear this design? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!

Happy Thursday.

Hello my lovelies & happy Tuesday!

I know, I’ve kind of switched up my usual posting schedule but only because the last little while has been a bit crazy! But I’ve got another fun manicure to share with you, featuring another favourite October polish. & I’m really happy with how the design turned out.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • OPI DS Extravagance
  • NailStuff Essentials Holographic Top Coat *
  • Essie Home By 8 *
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush

I used to do hand painted swirl designs like this all the time when I first got into nail blogging, but it’s been a while since I did one so it felt like the right time. It’s a cross between like a paisley & a kind of lace design, I guess? I decided to add another layer of holo over my base of OPI DS Extravagance which gave it even more of a POW! effect & I love it.

Just give me all the sparkle. I really, really am craving sparkle, especially with these much shorter days we’ve been having.

What do you think of this holo swirl design? Do you like this hand painted design? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below, & tell me what your favourite holographic polish is!

Happy Tuesday

Happy Birthday Waterfall Nails 💖🧁💅

*includes PR

Hello lovelies & happy Tuesday. & happy day after Canadian Thanksgiving. I’m sure my fellow Canadians are also feeling the post-holiday food coma.

Today is my birthday, so I wanted to do some special nails for the occasion. & when thinking about what nail polish I wanted to wear, there was only one that came to mind: Cadillacquer Lavender Sunset — the NailStuff exclusive shade released earlier this year. & I finally tried layering it over a darker base, which I’ve been meaning to try for a while & it looks absolutely spectacular!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat
  • Cadillacquer Lavender Sunset
  • OPI Infinite Shine Mariachi Makes My Day (layered under Lavender Sunset)
  • NailStuff Essentials Holographic Top Coat
  • Essie Nail Art Studio Cosmic Chrome
  • Essie Separated Starlight
  • Essie Birthday Girl
  • Quo by Orly Black Striper
  • Nailstuff Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush

So, with full disclosure, this was not originally the design I had planned for my birthday nails. I saw a cool manicure online that I loved, but apparently when I went back to find it… I had forgotten to save it. So when I attempted it from memory… things did not turn out the way I planned.

This was actually design attempt #4… maybe #5. I’ll be honest… I lost count.

But you know after all the hassle & frustration, I actually love how these ended up looking! So I guess it was all worth it. When all else fails, pull out some sparkly polishes & create a fun waterfall look!

What do you think of these birthday nails? Would you wear this sparkly waterfall look?

Let me know what you think! & have a beautiful day.
