Twinkling Snowflakes ❄️✨

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! Halfway through the week, & only 4 days away from December 1st. Who else hasn’t started their Christmas shopping yet?

Today I’m showing off more glittery nails on my shorties. I was feeling some handprinted snowflakes, since they’ve been all over my Instagram feed, so I decided to give them a go. & obviously, I needed a good base for them to pop over, so I picked some more sparkles. After all, ’tis the season for sparkle!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

How pretty did these little snowflakes turn out. I’ve never been the most comfortable free handing my snowflakes, but I was feeling pretty confident after watching way too many tutorial videos. & they turned out absolutely beautiful, & I’m very proud of that.

I’m trying not to get too Christmas-y on my nails yet, as Glam Nails Challenge December starts next Wednesday, & I’m going all in to end this year! There are so many great prompts, so I’m really excited for some fun designs to end this year strong.

What do you think of my twinkling snow flakes? Has it snowed where you are yet? We haven’t had anything more than a couple flurries, but they are calling for a potential snowstorm at the end of the week which is crazy!

Glittery Dotticure

Hello loves & happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend.

As you may have noticed in yesterday’s post, I’m back to rocking shorter nails. & Sometimes short nails can feel kind of lame, so I decided to do something fun. I’m all about the glitter right now, so I felt like some sparkle was much needed — & I wanted to create another version of this nail art look I did last New Year’s Eve, but with a darker base this time.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • OPI Less is Norse
  • OPI Infinite Shine Put On Something Ice

How cute are these little sparkles? I tried my best to get a little sparkle in each dot but it wasn’t always the easiest. Still looks so pretty against the darker blue base shade of Less is Norse.

It’s also giving me Christmas inspo to try this with a white base & green & red glittery polishes!

Glittery Snow Globe Inspired Nails ❄️❄️❄️

Hello loves & happy Wednesday! A chilly, icy, windy Wednesday here. Winter is quickly approaching, so I feel like some snowflake nails aren’t completely out of the realm of possibility.

Don’t these just remind you of a snow globe? I love how they turned out. These were so super easy to do, & I love how beautiful they look. Plus the thick glossy top coat from NailStuff Essentials really sealed in the stickers so you don’t have to worry about any edges sticking up.

They just turned out so beautiful, & I love how that the colours are more subdued but then you also get the fun glitter.

What do you think about these glittery snowflake nails? Sadly, this was the last manicure I did with long nails — I had a pretty awful break after I wore them, & am now rocking some serious shorties. But they’ll be fun to do some Holiday nail art looks on my shorties, & also inspire those with shorties as well!

SWATCH SUNDAY — OPI Infinite Shine Put On Something Ice (Holiday 2023)

Good morning loves! & happy Sunday.

Is everyone feeling the holiday spirit yet? We just had our first big tax free event at work, & I broke out my “Happy Holo-days” sweater in honour of it. So I thought I would pull out a holiday shade for this weekends Swatch Sunday post, & this beautiful from OPI’s Terribly Nice Holiday 2023 collection seemed perfect for the occasion.

This is Infinite Shine Put On Something Ice. 🧊

2 coats + top coat.

This beautiful pearlescent base is packed full of holographic circle glitters of varying size. The base is super, duper sheer but the shimmer does add a nice bit of extra sparkle. Personally, this is probably more of a topper kind of shade for me rather than an all on its own look, unless I paired it over a nude base, but it could be fun as a base for a French manicure too!

Looking at this shade, it definitely screams holiday. Those holographic glitters definitely give off icy vibes, & I can totally picture this paired with Shaking My Sugar Plums in a fun glitter gradient. I’m definitely going to try that!

What do you think about Put On Something Ice from the OPI Terribly Nice collection from 2023. I got a few of the shades last year for Christmas, so I might share the other glitter I received if anyone is interested? I haven’t picked up any holiday shades this year yet, but I’m definitely looking around because ‘Tis the Season for glitter, & I’m all about it right now!

Iridescent Flakie Gradient Nails

Good morning lovelies & happy Tuesday! It’s a rainy & chilly Tuesday — very much November weather. So I thought I would break up some of the gloom with a pretty flakie look, because flakies make everything better.

I realized the other day I hadn’t played with any of my flakies or Chrome powders in my collection, & got this idea to do a look using them in a similar look to my favourite stained glass technique. & I think they turned out so pretty!

Look at that beautiful shift! I can’t believe I’ve taken so long to use these again. I definitely go through fazes where I use nail art stuff less than others, but I’m going to make a conscious effort to go through more stash more frequently to use these items! Because they really do give such a beautiful look on the nail!
