Autumn Floral Accent Nails🌻🍂

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! How is everyone enjoying their week so far First full week of school for the kiddos, & today is the first day I have all to myself so I’m going to enjoy some nail painting (& much overdo room cleaning!) First up, though, I have some beautiful Fall floral accent nails I recently painted on my nails, & they turned out so beautifully. So I thought you might enjoy them!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Essie Good To Go Top Coat
  • Base Coat: Essie Hard to Resist (purple)
  • Essie Expressie Take The Espresso
  • Essie Fall for NYC
  • Essie Get Your Groove On
  • Essie Merino Cool
  • Essie Wind in the Willow
  • NailStuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush
  • NailsStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

Look at the close up! Oh, these are the nails that make me the happiest. Floral accent nails have always been one of my favourite designs. & I think the combination of colour is absolutely Autumn on the nail. Plus it matches the Brown Eyed Susans in our garden so perfectly — they made the perfect background for my pictures.

What do you think of this Autumn inspired floral design? Are you feeling the Autumn vibes as much as I am? Our neighbours have started decorating for Fall, which makes me happy to see whenever I’m out walking. This is just my favourite time of year, & I’m ready to embrace it fully.

Villain-esque Half Moons

Hello loves & happy Friday! & happy first day of August — how crazy is that?

How is everyone enjoying their week so far? I’ve been enjoying the very warm temperatures while simultaneously dreaming about pumpkin spice lattes & Halloween costumes. I’m a complicated girl, what can I say. I’ve also found myself thinking about Autumn-y nails & nail designs.

Today’s look, I guess, you could call somewhat Autumn inspired. I was thinking about a red on red half moon idea… but then added some shifty top coat, & they turned into something different entirely. I’m calling them villain-esque, because they totally look the part.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Essie Good To Go Top Coat
  • Base Coat: China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifier
  • Butter London Saucy Jack
  • Essie Tailored By Twilight *pr
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat Moonlight
  • Paper hole reinforcements

What do you think about this combination? I really like the dark red over the light red, but the addition of the golden shimmer topper really gives it an extra something. Obviously, this look is a little dark for the hot days of August… but I’m a risk taker.

Also I will never not love a half moon manicure. It’s also reminding me I really, really need to play with my nail vinyls more. I have so many just sitting untouched in my folder, waiting to be used. I need to rectify that soon (&maybe get some new ones that are fall themed for the ‘ber months.)

What do you think about these half moons? Do you like this design as much as I do? Are you a fan of the half moons for easy nail art?

Happy Friday! Enjoy your weekend!

Autumn Abstract Stripes🍂🍁

Hello lovelies & happy Monday. & happy Labour Day! I hope everyone is enjoying this last long weekend of Summer. I’m getting excited because back-to-school is just a few days away, & I’m pumped that my days off during the week will actually feel like days off!

Today I’m showing off all the Fall vibes, with some abstract stripes featuring some China Glaze autumn shades from collections past.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Quo by ORLY Color Amp’d Top Coat
  • China Glaze Prairie Tale Ending
  • China Glaze Spice To Meet You
  • China Glaze Modern Auburn
  • China Glaze Loves ‘Em & Leaves ‘Em
  • NailStuff.ca Mermaid Tail Brush Trio (11mm liner brush)

Look at these colours together — if this doesn’t scream Autumn vibes, I don’t know what does! The colours blend beautifully together. & this is what I always mean when I say this abstract stripe design is my favourite because of the endless colour possibilities; there are infinite combinations. & it’s so easy. This design probably took me maybe 30 minutes from start to finish, not including dry time.

What do you think of these Autumn Abstract stripes? Do you have big Labour Day plans? Drop a comment below, & let me know how you celebrate the end of Summer. My big plans for today? Laundry… lots of laundry.

Have a beautiful day!

Blue Jewel Drag Marble Nails 💎

Hello lovelies & happy Friday. & Happy September 1st! It maybe not be Fall to most people — or, okay, the calendar, but September 1st definitely feels like the beginning of Fall to me. So you can probably look forward to seeing more & more Autumn-eque designs moving forward.

Today’s look was what happens when it’s late at night & I’m stick on nail ideas. I wanted to paint my nails, but I was uncertain with what I should do. Naturally, I decided on a drag marble. I think they turned out really pretty, so I’m excited to share them with you!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glossy Top Coat
  • Essie License to Thrill
  • Essie Get Your Grove On
  • Essie Merino Cool
  • Smallest dotting tool (NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio)

How beautiful did this turn out? Honestly, sometimes I do drag marbles & I hate the result –they get a bit muddled — but I think the colours on this one really compliment each other, & it turned out really looking like some kind of stone/marble.

What do you think of this drag marble design? Do you like this colour combination as much as I do? How does the beginning of a new month have you feeling? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below!
