Glam Nails Challenge December — Wreaths

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! It’s a beautiful—but chilly—day here. Almost all our snow melted away this weekend due to crazy rain, so it’s feeling very un-Christmas like outside. More like April than December.

But that’s okay because I have another cute Christmas look to share for Glam Nails Challenge December: wreath nails. & I think this is my most favourite Christmas look so far!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie First Base
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Wrenn Polish Happy Thoughts
  • Essie Off Tropic
  • Ardene Jungle Green
  • Essence The Green & The Grunge
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Red It Twice
  • NailStuff.ca 7mm detail brush
  • Small dotting tool (NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio)
  • Paper Hole Reinforcements

I’m not going to lie—I’m absolutely obsessed with how pretty these turned out. I’ve done some wreath nails before, but I wanted to do something completely new & I think I succeeded! So much so, I’ve been wearing these nails for going on 3 days now, & they’re still more or less holding up (with a few chips at the tip that are easy to fix).

Also I forgot how absolutely stunning Happy Thoughts by Wrenn polish is. There is a reason why her holos are some of my favourites—they are absolutely eye catching! I’m going to be so, so sad when I finally take these off.

What do you think about these half moon wreath nails? Are you obsessed with them as much as I am? Would you wear this look on your nails?

Let me know all your thoughts down the comments below! & have a lovely Monday!

St Patrick’s Day Rainbows 🌈🍀

Hello my loves, & Happy St Patrick’s Day! I

t’s another quiet year, obviously, but I had to do something fun on my nails. I had this image in my head of a rainbow over a pretty green, & I think that the end result turned out exactly how I had pictured. I even managed to sneak in a little holo too.

For this manicure, the polishes I used were:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle
  • Top Coat: Essie Good to Go
  • Wrenn Polish I Know Guac Is Extra
  • Deborah Lippmann It’s Raining Men
  • Essie Sunshine State Of Mind
  • Essie Check Your Baggage
  • Essie Off Tropic
  • Sally Hansen Cerulean
  • Essie No More Film
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Va Va Violet
  • Starrily Eclipse
  • NailStuff.ca 16mm Striper Brush

I love how these turned out, even though they were super time consuming haha. Who know 7 stripes of colour could be so much work. I also totally did my colours backwards, but you know what… I still think they’re awesome, & I hope you do too! & of course, I had to add a little holo to really bring my rainbow to life!

What do you think of my St Patrick’s Day rainbow nails? Are you wearing a special green design today? Let me know in the comments below! 🌈🍀💗

Scattered Holo Abstract Stripes

Hello lovelies & happy Thursday! Hope everyone is having the loveliest of weeks! Today I’ve got some brand new nail art to share with you, featuring an easy technique I love to do: abstract stripes. I’ve been doing some version of this look for a couple of years now, & I think they’re such a great way to jazz up your nails — they’re also relatively easy & hard to mess up, & who doesn’t love that!

For this manicure, the polishes I used were:

  • Base Coat: Essie Treat Love & Color Gloss Fit (clear)
  • Base Coat: OPI Nail Envy
  • Top Coat: Essie Speed Setter
  • Quo by ORLY Breathable Kiss Me, I’m Kind
  • Wrenn Polish Intoxicated
  • Revlon Iconic
  • Kiss Products Nail Art Striper in Black
  • Kiss Products Nail Art Striper in White

First off, check out that scattered holo because it’s absolutely amazing. If you missed my earlier Swatch Sunday post on it, Intoxicated is one of the two new holographic nail polishes that Wrenn Polish released recently. It’s STUNNING. Second I’m kind of obsessed with this grey by Revlon — Iconic. I recently picked it up at my local Lawton’s for only 99 cents. It really compliments this dark purple polish & just goes so well together.

& I don’t know why, but greys are just a favourite for me this time of year (with the exception of early February for Valentine’s Day).

I feel myself digging into my past posts for inspiration lately. The (nail art) nostalgia is real. But maybe Paris Fashion week & the Oscars will give me some new nail art inspiration & inspire some fun new looks.

What do you think about these abstract stripes? What nail art trends are you excited about? Let me know!

Hello lovelies! Happy Sunday! & happy first post of 2020! I thought it would be exciting if my first post of the New Year was my first Swatch Sunday post of the new year & decade.

Today we have an awesome start with two BRAND NEW polishes from Wrenn Polish. I’ve share quite a few of her gorgeous shades on my blog before, but for those who are new, Wrenn Polish is a vegan, cruelty free & 5-free brand of Indie polish. All of her nail polish shades are inspired by her jewelry line, which makes for some incredibly beautiful nail polish shades.

Alissa recently came out with two brand new polishes just in time for the holidays, & guess what? THEY’RE BOTH HOLO! So if you’re looking for some beautiful new polish, keep reading!

Good morning lovelies & happy Monday! We’re quickly speeding through December & speeding through the prompts for #GlamnailschallengeDec! Today’s prompt is Christmas decorations! I feel like this prompt is really up for interpretation & offers a wide variety of options, so I decided to recreate a look I love to do: Christmas branches with decorations, but with the addition of holo. Because, let’s be honest — everything is better with holo!

If you’re curious to see my previous look from two years ago, you can find them here.

Who has decorated their Christmas tree? 🎄 We got ours done this week, which is about 2 weeks sooner than last year. Because of pregnancy & work last year, we managed to get our tree decorated by Christmas Eve, haha. But you know, if you haven’t gotten your tree decorated yet, you can always pretend with fully decorated Christmas trees on your nails!

I really think the holo dots are what make this design because it reminds me of the baubles on my own tree when the light catches them. Just that lovely sparkle. ✨ You don’t even need to worry about any more details, because the shift of light does it all for you.

I also think these might be the best pine needle/Christmas tree branches I’ve ever painted. I’m insanely proud of how these ended up, which is probably why I wore this look for over a week. Sometimes a look just wins, & this is definitely one of these looks for me. ❤️
