Sideways holo chevron moons.

Good morning ☀️

It’s been super sunny and beautiful lately, which means I obviously need to rock some holo nails while I can (because I live in Nova Scotia & it rains here… A lot.) So I grabbed my chevron nail guides from MyNailsDid Vinyls & decided on some all holo sideways chevron moons.

For this manicure, I used:

  • Layla Hologram Effects Mercury Twilight
  • Nubar Prize
  • Nubar Treaure
  • Essie Gel Setter
  • MyNailsDid right angle chevron guides.

These were definitely one of the most distracting manicures I’ve ever worn. I’m not going to lie, I kept looking down at my nails during work, & getting a little (very) distracted! It’s the power of the holo ✨ It’s just so mesmerizing.

Happy Friday everyone!

Pink and Purple half moons.

Anyone else so excited for Spring?! I definitely am. Although we’re getting some less than pleasant weather (snow in April? 😧) I thought I’d embrace some bright colours. And it’s been a while since I wore a half moon mani, so I thought it would be fun to pull out a few of my favourite bright colours.

The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • Color Club Pucci-licious
  • China Glaze Purple Panic
  • Essie Good to Go
  • Paper Hole reinforcers

What colours are you loving for Spring? 🌷

Purple and gold x-pattern nails.

I’ve been seeing these x-pattern gradient nails popping up on Instagram a lot lately so I wanted to give them a try. Obviously striping tape wasn’t going to happen, so I decided to try freehanding them!

The polishes I used for this manicure were:

  • China Glaze Pondering
  • OPI Black Cherry Chutney
  • Stripe Rite Striping Polish in Gold
  • Seche Vite

It took some serious patience to create the x-pattern, but I’m so happy (and SO proud) with how this mani turned out!

Mani swap with @pawlished.kait

Finally… Some nail art!  I’ve been super busy the last couple days but I was excited to do some real nail art by joining @pawlished.kait in a mani swap!
Kait recreated my purple polka dots, and I recreated her gorgeous blue and fushia leopard print.

The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • Sinful Colors Be Happy
  • Essie The Girls Are Out
  • Sally Hansen I Love Nail Art pen in Black.
  • Seche Vite
  • L’oreal The Matte Velvet top coat.

I love how well these two colours go together! Also matte 😍😍😍 I was so excited to swap with Kait! She has so many amazing manis, and it was hard to pick just one to recreate!

If you’re not following  @pawlished.kait on Instagram you definitely should be! Not only does she have AWESOME manicures, she is a fellow crazy cat lady and posts pictures of her adorable fur babies! 😸

Stained Glass Colour Block Nails.

 Good morning Lovelies!

I’m feeling Fall colours hard. The other day I was organizing my Fall polishes and really wanted to wear them all! I decided that some kind of colour block mani would be the closest way I could do that!

The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • Finger Paints Surreal Sunset
  • Finger Paints Queen for A Night
  • Sally Hansen Golden-I
  • Hard Candy Scam
  • QUO by ORLY Striper in Black
  • Seche Vite

Oh man I love these colours so much. I’m just starting to build my Finger Paints stash and I never realized just how amazing their polishes are! I’m in love! 😍 I can’t wait to wear Surreal Sunset and Queen for a Night on their own. Just so pretty! I’m in love. 😍

My QUO by ORLY Striper is starting  to get kinda of goopy so my lines are a little messy. Never less, I love this combination of colours so much!

Are there any Fall polishes you’re dying to buy? I have my eyes on those Gorgeous Essie Fall colours! And the everything from the China Glaze Fall collection! I’m going to do a post on my favourite Fall polishes soon!
