Matte chevron zig zag accent nails. 

Fall colours make me so happy.  I’ve been digging through my stash for my favourite Autumn colours. I decided to pull a couple out and play around with a fun sweater inspired accent nail. (And some matte flakes for good measure!)

  
The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • OPI Miss You-niverse 
  • Essie Coat Couture 
  • Stripe Rite Striper in Gold
  • Art Club Nail Art Duo in Bubblegum Pink
  • QUO by ORLY special effects top coat in Matte Pink

Inspired by! My notebook. 

 As the saying goes, inspiration is everywhere. Today’s nails were inspired by the inside cover of one of my many notebooks. I was tidying the other day when I stumbled across it–the second I opened it up the first thing I thought was “I have to recreate that on my nails!” 

  

The polishes I used for this manicure were:

 I love love love how my accent nails turned out! I almost wish I had done all 10 nails with the chevron pattern! This mani just makes me so happy! I love how well the colours go together.

Pink and purple sideways French. 

Hope everyone had a great long weekend! I was only off yesterday, but the spent the weekend cleaning up our flat and arranging some new furniture (that we were gifted as an early wedding gift). 
 Today’s nail were a simple mani sideways French manicure featuring my new favourite purple OPI Suzy and the 7 Düsseldorfs. 

The polishes I used for the mani were:

  • OPI Suzy and the 7 Düsseldorfs 
  • China Glaze Strawberry Feilds 
  •  Stripe Rite Striping Polish in Gold. 
  • Seche Vite 

 
This week is going to be a busy one! But I’m still going to make sure to get a few posts in before Saturday.

Something Blue floral inspired by @25_sweetpea 

So you might have noticed an abundance of floral recently, even though Fall is quickly approaching. Well that’s because I’ve been on the search for the perfect bridal manicure. That’s right… I’m getting married! A week from today! 

   

I’ve bfinally figured out what I’m doing on my nails (with a week to go). I’ve been searching for the perfect floral mani to wear day of, and thanks to my girl @26_sweetpea I found it! She posted this beautiful mani last week, and as soon as I saw it I knew! 

 
 The other night I did a wedding mani test run using Essie Bikini So Teeny and China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le , which are my two all time favourite blues. I was having trouble deciding which one I wanted to wear.  I’ve figured it out now (and you’ll have to wait to see what I go with!) but I wanted to share the close up of this mani.

My first ever Instagram meet up! 

  This past weekend I got to take part in my first ever Nail Meet Up with my fellow Halifax nail bloggers! It so was exciting to get to meet up with the amazing fellow nail artists that are local!

It was so lovely to meet the fantastic ladies I follow on Instagram, and meet some new lovely girls as well! We talked all things polish and life in general which was just so much fun! It was really awesome to connect with people who don’t judge you for owning 800+ bottles of polish! 

  
 @thebasecoat was also super sweet and brought everyone a few goodies all wrapped up with pretty sparkly tissue paper (which my kitties loved rolling on–the were sparkling all day! Haha) In my gift bag I received a mini Finger Paints in a vibrant pink (no name) and China Glaze Lets Dew This from the new fall collection! Purple and blue sparkles?! My favourite! I have a feeling I’m probably going to be wearing this polish quite a bit this Fall. 

 

For the occasion I went with some chevron moons in purple and blue– my favourite colours and design! The polishes I used for this mani were: 

  • China Glaze December to Remember. 
  • OPI Suzy & the 7 Düsseldorfs 
  • Stripe Rite striping polish in Gold
  • QUO by ORLY Striper in black. 
  • Seche Vite

So nice to get to spend time with such fabulous ladies, and I definitely can’t wait for the next one!
