Instagram Coffee Nail Art Collab ☕️🤎

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! This has been quite a week, so I’m a little happy it’s over — even if it does mean saying goodbye to spooky season. But I did join the monthly nail art collab hosted by @essieyall & @petitenailslover again this month, & I’m super excited to share my design… especially because the prompt is COFFEE!

& if there is one thing I love as much as nail polish , it’s coffee.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essence Colour Grip Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Matte Top Coat: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Matte Top Coat
  • Essie Expressie Cold Brew Crew
  • Wet n Wild 2% Milk
  • Acrylic Paint
  • NailStuff.ca 9mm Mermaid Tail Liner Brush

I was going for a latte art design, so I used acrylic paint because I knew that I was going to need to be able to erase any mistakes — & I was right! This look took longer than expected to do, but I think it turned out just like the coffee art I used to do when I was a barista.

& I hope when you look at it, you can totally see what it’s supposed to be!

Don’t forget, you can check out the other designs through the hashtag #coffeenailartmanicollab2023 on Instagram. & down below, you can check out all the fun coffee themed designs collaged together. Everyone did such an awesome job!

What do you think of my coffee design? Does it totally scream latte to you? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!

& let me know what your favourite holiday coffee drink is!

Batty Thermal Halloween Nails 🦇

Hello lovelies & happy Halloween! I couldn’t not try to sneak at least one more quick design in before Halloween was over. After all, Halloween is my most favourite holiday.

This look is a quick & easy one, using those Dollarama nail art stickers I’ve been gushing about all month. I had this idea of doing dark bats over a thermal polish — & I just love how they turned out!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essence Colour Grip Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Cadillacquer Nostalgia
  • Dollarama Halloween Nail Art Stickers

This is a super simple Halloween look — the thermal effect of Cadillacquer Nostalgia really does all the work. It’s been particularly cold recently, so I had to rest my hands against some hot coffee in order to show off the shift between colours — & you can kind of see how it transitions back to cold in these shots which is cool.

I hope everyone has a happy, happy Halloween! I’m looking forward to trick or treating with my kids tonight, & soaking in every last minute of my favourite holiday. & there will definitely be some sour patch kids enjoyed this evening!

♥︎ Stay safe & have fun!

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE OCTOBER—Zombie 🧟‍♀️

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! & happy Halloween Eve!

Today is our last prompt for Glam Nails Challenge October! Can you believe it?! This is kind of crazy. But I’m very excited because the prompt is Zombie & it gave me an opportunity to recreate a design I saw earlier this month on the Essie instagram.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essence Colour Grip Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Matte Top Coat: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Matte Top Coat
  • Essie Willow in the Wind
  • Essie (Un)Guilty Pleasures
  • Essie No More Film
  • NailStuff.ca 7mm Mermaid Tail Liner Brush

When I saw I’m obsessed with this design, I am obsessed. This turned out better than I could have ever imagined, & totally gives off the zombie design I was going for. This is a fantastic Halloween look, & it might be my favourite of all the designs I’ve done this month!

Have you enjoyed seeing all the designs for Glam Nails Challenge October? Was there a design that stood out to you as a favourite? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!

Enjoy your Monday!

SWATCH SUNDAY — OPI Green On the Runway

Hello lovelies & happy Sunday. & happy Halloweekend! Did anyone dress up & go to any fun Halloween parties?

Today I’m sharing my last kind of Halloween-y shade of the season. To be fair, I don’t own a lot of actual Halloween shades (that I haven’t shared on here already) but I saw this OPI mini bottle in my stash & thought it was a great spooky colour. & if it looks familiar, that’s because I also used it for the base of my last manicure.

This is OPI Green on the Runway from the 2014 OPI Coca-Cola collection.

3 thin coats + top coat

This beautiful duochrome shade has a thin formula that requires multiple thin coats, but it’s worth it. The dark green base flashes like a bronze-y brown depending on the light. There is almost a metallic quality to the green base as well, which I like a lot.

I believe the 2014 Coca-Cola collection was released as a Summer collection, but this shade just feels straight up Autumn to me. I didn’t really jump on them when they were first released, but when I was perusing through my local Chatters last Christmas, I saw this little mini bottle for .99 cents & had to pick it up.

& I’m so glad I did! It’s such a beautiful shade that works both for spooky season, & a great transitional shade into the impending holiday season.

What do you think of OPI Green on the Runway? Did you pick up this shade when it was originally released? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below!

Halloween Ooze Nails 🧪

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! Only a couple more days until Halloween is here — can you believe it? & only a few more days to squeeze in some Halloween nail art!

I’m calling today’s look Halloween ooze nails because it’s the best description for them! I didn’t want to do your classic blood dripping design — these look much more spooky!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • OPI Green On The Runway
  • Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Belle of the Ball
  • URSugar dripping nail vinyls

I like these because I feel like the drips work both ways — the dark blurple dripping down, or the green dripping. The perfect Halloween design that’s not too over the top! I’ve literally been wearing these for 3 days now, & I don’t want to take them off. But I do have a few more Halloween designs to squeeze in, so I guess I’ll have to say goodbye to them tonight.

What do you think of these Halloween ooze nails? You could definitely get away with doing these without nail vinyls if you didn’t have any — I was just feeling lazy. Haha.

Happy Friday 🖤
