Mediterranean Inspired Tile Nails (Featuring Olive & June)

•contains pr/gifted product•

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is having a lovely week so far. The sun is finally peaking out, & I’m excited for another break from the rain. We’ve definitely been having a very rainy Summer so far. It has me dreaming of vacation. Maybe it’s the fact we’ve been binge watching Below Deck: Sailing Yacht, but I definitely have been wishing I could take a trip somewhere Mediterranean.

So obviously when I received those beautiful new Olive & June shades, I knew I wanted to try & create something inspired by Mediterranean tiles. The colours were perfect for a Summer vacation on my nails — even if the farthest I’ll be traveling this Summer is to another province.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Londontown KUR Nail Hardener & Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Olive & June Long Lasting Top Coat
  • Olive & June Not A Cloud
  • Olive & June House of O&J
  • Olive & June Flowerpot
  • Olive & June How Do You Spell Bougainvillea?
  • Olive & June Bocce Ball
  • What’s Up Nails Moroccan Stencils
  • Large Dotting Tool (NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio)

How freaking fun are these? I wasn’t sure how the colours were going to go together until I started, but I really like how they look! When I applied the top coat, it blended the polishes together in an interesting way that made it look a bit faded — which helped with the over all aesthetic I was going for. I really, really love it. I may not be traveling on a super yacht, but at least my nails can give me those vibes.

Also this was definitely the first idea that popped in my head the second I saw this collection.

What do you think of these nails? Are they giving you vacation vibes? Are you a fan of these shades together? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!

Simple Swirls

•contains pr/gifted product•

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! I hope everyone is having a lovely start to their week. It’s humid & sticky here today, with not much sun. Not my favourite kind of weather, but that’s okay. Today I have a fun look I actually did before Canada Day, but hadn’t had a chance to post yet. I was feeling so stripes, & ended up going a little more on the abstract side of things (as I usually do.)

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Londontown KUR Nail Hardener & Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive Fast Dry Top
  • Essie Expressie FX Iced Out
  • Essie Bikini So Teeny
  • Essie (Un)Guilty Pleasures
  • Essie Cute as A Button
  • Essie Willow in the Wind
  • Essie Frilly Lillies
  • NailStuff.ca Mermaid Tail Brush Trio (I used the 11mm liner brush)

In case you’re wondering — yes, I’m still obsessed with these beautiful Essie shades I was gifted. I haven’t yet had a chance to do a floral yet with these shades, but I have it on my itinerary. So many nail art ideas, so little time! But I have to say, all the beautiful polishes I’ve recently been gifted for PR, I have so many ideas brewing inside my head. I’m very excited for all the nail art to come this Summer.

What do you think about this beautiful swirly line design? Such an easy design to do, with minimal time required.

Have a fantastic Monday! ♥︎

Funky & Bright Drag Marble Nails

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! I hope your week has been going well so far. It’s a very wet, & grey, week here so far — & it’s supposed to last all the way into next week, so that’s less than ideal.

So let’s go back a few days when it was sunny, & warm, & I matched the weather with these colourful drag marble nails! These Essie shades were sitting on my nail desk, & I just had to combine them together. & I’m so glad I did because they look so good together.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Londontown KUR Nail Hardener & Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive Fast Dry
  • Essie Turquoise & Caicos
  • Essie Worth the Tassel
  • Essie Revenge’s A Beach
  • Essie Peach Side Babe
  • Extra tiny dotting tool (NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio)

Please excuse the bubbles on my thumb — I added top coat a little too soon to this one. But I really love the swirling on this one!

Drag marbles are definitely time consuming to do — you have to go one finger at a time. But the end result is always awesome! This colour combination, especially, just looks so cool.

What do you think about this bright drag marble? Have you ever done a drag marble design before? I love the look of actual water-marble, but I’ve never been able to be successful at it, so this is my go-to alternative. Not quite the same idea, but just as fun!

Holo Mermaid Vibes 🧜🏼‍♀️

Hello lovelies & happy Monday!

I hope you had a fantastic weekend — the last full weekend of June. This means we are almost officially half way through this year, & I just need to slow down a smidge. But I thought we could, & should, start this week off on a sparkly vibe with the nails I wore this past weekend to celebrate my daughter’s 4th birthday. She decided on a Mermaid Princess party, & naturally that means I needed my nails to match.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Londontown KUR Nail Hardener & Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive Fast Dry
  • Essie Gel Couture Princess Charming
  • Essie Expressie FX Iced Out
  • Color Club Bewitched
  • Color Club Crystal Baller
  • Color Club Eternal Beauty
  • Color Club Trick of the Trade
  • Beyond the Nail Mermaid Vinyls

I think these turned out absolutely magical & they were perfect for the theme of the party & the whole day. It was a beautiful sunny day, so the sparkle really came out — which I was hoping for! Originally I was thinking you couldn’t really see the scale pattern, but they got noticed for sure. & my little girl was excited about them!

I don’t have pictures, but she rocked a fun combo of Essie Bikini So Teeny & Birthday Girl for her birthday manicure, with a few nautical themed stickers as accents. The perfect look for my birthday princess.

& a quick pic of my with my birthday princess. My nails almost matched her new special bathing suit!

Have a fantastic Monday loves. ♥︎

Abstract Shorties

Hello lovelies & happy first day of Summer to those in the northern hemisphere! & it actually feels very Summer like today, which is very exciting. I’m definitely here for it, & all things Summer related.

Todays look is a quick abstract design I applied over my base of OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI from my Swatch Sunday post for this week. I wanted to extend my wear another day or so, & decided an abstract look was the perfect way to do that!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Londontown KUR Nail Hardener & Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive Fast Dry
  • OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI
  • Essie Revenge’s A Beach
  • Essie Turquoise & Caicos
  • Essie Merino Cool
  • OPI Who You Callin’ Bossy?!
  • Small dotting tool — NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool

As you can see, I’m rocking extra shorties right now thanks to a break on my ring finger at work on Saturday.

Normally I would be upset about it, but I’m kind of enjoying shorter nails right now. I find when my nails are square, I prefer a shorter length to them. Plus I love showing off that you can rock fun nail art no matter the length of your nails!

What do you think of these abstract shorties? Are you a fan of looks like these? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below, & what colour scheme you would choose.

Have a lovely Wednesday ☀️
