Purple and Silver Dry Marble.

I haven’t attempted a dry marble manicure since my failed attempted at the 31 Day Challenge last year, so I thought I was overdue for another go! This was actually attempt number 2… My first try was mega nail fail. But once I figured out the technique I needed to use, it was smooth sailing. And you can probably tell by my abundance of pictures that I absolutely adore these!

The polishes I used for this manicure were:

  • Hard Candy Zombie
  • Finger Paints Wanna Gogh Dance?
  • Seche Vite
  • L’oreal The Matte Velvet top coat.

I love how different each nail looks. My Husband almost always goes to bed before I finish my nails at night, so this morning I literally shoved my fingers in his face and was like “LOOK!”

I might need to start doing more of these manicures now that I don’t just make an utter mess! It’s just so pretty– especially all mattified!

What do you think of my dry marble? Have you ever gone back and retried a manicure you weren’t so good at the first time? Let me know in the comments! And have a beautiful weekend lovelies. 😽

Mani swap with @pawlished.kait

Finally… Some nail art!  I’ve been super busy the last couple days but I was excited to do some real nail art by joining @pawlished.kait in a mani swap!
Kait recreated my purple polka dots, and I recreated her gorgeous blue and fushia leopard print.

The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • Sinful Colors Be Happy
  • Essie The Girls Are Out
  • Sally Hansen I Love Nail Art pen in Black.
  • Seche Vite
  • L’oreal The Matte Velvet top coat.

I love how well these two colours go together! Also matte 😍😍😍 I was so excited to swap with Kait! She has so many amazing manis, and it was hard to pick just one to recreate!

If you’re not following  @pawlished.kait on Instagram you definitely should be! Not only does she have AWESOME manicures, she is a fellow crazy cat lady and posts pictures of her adorable fur babies! 😸

Matte chevron zig zag accent nails.

Fall colours make me so happy.  I’ve been digging through my stash for my favourite Autumn colours. I decided to pull a couple out and play around with a fun sweater inspired accent nail. (And some matte flakes for good measure!)

The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • OPI Miss You-niverse
  • Essie Coat Couture
  • Stripe Rite Striper in Gold
  • Art Club Nail Art Duo in Bubblegum Pink
  • QUO by ORLY special effects top coat in Matte Pink
  • L’oreal The Matte Velvet top coat.

What do you think of this mani? Do you ever pull out old favourites and revisit them?

Cartoon nails.

Super excited to share my cartoon nails that I did as part of a twin nails collab with some awesome girls on Instagram organized by my girl @sassafrassnails

I wasn’t sure what colour to pick for my cartoon nails, but I finally decided on OPI I Lost My Bikini in Monoloki from the Spring Hawaii collection. I love this colour SO much–I can’t believe this is my first time wearing it!

The polishes I used for this manicure were:

  • OPI I Lost My Bikini in Monoloki
  • Art Club Nail Art Duo in black.
  • Sally Hansen I 💗 Nail Art pen in White (round)
  • Seche Vite Dry Fast top coat.
  • L’oreal The Matte Velvet top coat.

So what do you think of my cartoon nails? If you’re on Instagram you should definitely check out the amazing girls that I joined on this collab!

Cadbury mini eggs inspired nails.

 Edit

Easter is coming! So I figured it was about time I did some proper Easter nail art and what is more Easter then Cadbury Mini Eggs. (Or at least used to be back when they only came out in the weeks before Easter instead of being out all year.)

I originally stumbled across the idea for these mini Egg inspired nails on 10blankcanvases.com last Easter, but never got around to creating my own version. Since I can’t eat Chocolate, I decided my next best option was to wear them on my nails!

The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • Sinful Colors Mint Apple (green)
  • Essence you let my heart skip a beat (purple)
  • China Glaze Feel the Breeze (pink)
  • Revlon Dreamer (blue)
  • China Glaze Metro Pollen-tin (yellow)
  • Wet n Wild 2% Milk
  • OPI How Great is your Dane (specks)
  • Seche Vite Quick Dry Top Coay
  • L’oreal The Matte Velvet top coat.

Edit So what are you wearing on your nails for Easter? I’m still trying to come up with a fun mani to wear for our Easter dinner with my inlaws.
