Glam Nails Challenge October — Spider 🕸

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! Half way through the week already — can you believe it?! We’re also already on our second prompt for GlamNailsChallengeOctober… & my second Halloween design of the season.

Today’s prompt: Spider. 🕷🕸

Which, anyone who knows me, knows is one of my least favourite things in the whole wide world. But for nail art, I guess I can do it. So I decided, why not do some holo-ween spiders! Because holo makes everything better!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

How much fun are these? Again, spiders are not my favourite thing. In fact, I’ve been known to run screaming away from a spider, usually in tears. But these holo spiders turned out pretty cute, so I don’t mind wearing them on my nails.

October is the one month a year where spiders on my nails are okay, haha.

I really, really wanted to rock some holographic nails for this look. I thought this holographic orange-y colour was perfect as the base for this nail art. Plus we’ve had some beautiful sunny days the last few days, which were just calling for some holo.

Glam Nails Challenge October — Skull 💀

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! Today we’re getting into the spooky season with this month’s GlamNailsChallenge: skull ☠️ .

Now that it’s October I feel like I can finally really start getting into the Halloween nail art looks. & it also means that I can finally use a brand new stamping plate I recently bought via NailPolishCanada.

The polishes I used for this manicure are: 

First off, I can’t believe this is my first time using one of the Color Club stamping plates — they stamp amazing! I was super impressed with how easily I picked up the image & applied it to my nails. It was a very speedy experience, which was way faster than how stamping usually goes for me. Originally I had only planned on an accent nail or two, but everything applied so easily that I just kept going, & got all 10 fingers stamped in like 15 minutes.

Second, I love how lovely the silver is over the purple. A nice spooky skull design, perfect for my first Halloween look of October!

St Patrick’s Day Rainbows 🌈🍀

Hello my loves, & Happy St Patrick’s Day! I

t’s another quiet year, obviously, but I had to do something fun on my nails. I had this image in my head of a rainbow over a pretty green, & I think that the end result turned out exactly how I had pictured. I even managed to sneak in a little holo too.

I love how these turned out, even though they were super time consuming haha. Who know 7 stripes of colour could be so much work. I also totally did my colours backwards, but you know what… I still think they’re awesome, & I hope you do too! & of course, I had to add a little holo to really bring my rainbow to life!

#GlamNailsChallengeFeb — Hearts 💕

Hello lovelies & happy day after Valentine’s Day (aka 50% off Chocolate Day!).

Today I’m sharing my design for yesterday’s prompt for GlamNailsChaengeFeb: Hearts! Which is a very fitting prompt for February 14th. 💗 This look was one of those ones that kind of just came to me as I was doing it, which are definitely the best kind. & I just adore the end result.

As you can see from my close up, this isn’t the most perfectly clean freehanding, but I kind of like it. It works with this kind of design. It sort of reminds me of another Valentine’s Day nail art look I did a few years back which was inspired by napkins I saw out & about.

What do you think about this hearts look? I’m definitely ready to be done with pink for a while — I think I’ve pink-ed myself out. Haha. But I’ve got a whole bunch more prompts to come, so stay tuned for some beautiful (not pink) nail art looks to come!

#GlamNailsChallengeFeb — Roses

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday lovelies!

As you can see from the background of my nail art pictures today, it’s Winterland here in Halifax! But on my nails, it’s totally Spring. Today is prompt #3 for GlamNailsChallengeFeb, & it is Roses! & as you know, if you’ve been around the blog a while, roses are one of my favourite things to paint on my nails!

This time I decided to go with a vintage inspired rose look. Usually I tend to go for a more realistic looking floral, but I wanted to try something different!

How pretty did these roses turn out with the black accents. It gives them almost a sketched effect, which I really like. It reminds me a bit of a manicure I did a few years back, obviously with a different colour scheme (& a bit more nail art practice!)

This is my first time wearing this Essence shade in a manicure, I think. I really like the blue background against the brightness of the pink roses. I really think this is a super cute design, both for Valentine’s Day, & Spring in general.

Yep, already dreaming of Spring. Winter can be over now!
