And so it begins… My first Christmas-y nails of the year.

 It’s heeeeeeeere.

Of course I’m talking about the Christmas (or insert whatever season Holiday you celebrate! 😁) season. The malls are filled with Santas as far as the eye could see, so I thought it was about some I started some Christmas-y nails.

The polishes I used for this manicure were:

  • OPI Just BeClaus
  • China Glaze Ruby Slippers
  • Essie Jiggle Hi, Jiggle Lo
  • Born Pretty Store stamping plate (item #5695)
  • Seche Vite.

It’s been a long time since I did any stamping and this was not an easy endeavour! It seriously took me about 8 tries before I was happy with how they turned out. (First world nail art problems for real!) But when I finally did get them right… I absolutely love how they turned out! Reminds me of pretty Christmas wrapping paper.

Diamond accent nails.

So as what usually happens every 6 months or so, I broke a nail. 😞 well technically I cracked my ring finger half way and knew it was going to break on me so preemptively trimmed them down. Either way, it’s back to nubs for this girl!

So in order to keep my nails feeling pretty, I’ve been working extra hard on creating pretty nail art!

The polishes I used for this manicure were:

  • OPI Miss You-neverse
  • OPI I Canolli Wear OPI
  • Bourjois Paris Gold polish (can’t find a name)
  • Revlon Cherries in the Snow
  • QUO by ORLY Striper in Black
  • Seche Vite

What do you think if my diamond accent nails? How do you cope when you have a bad break? Let me know in the comments below!

Purple and gold x-pattern nails.

I’ve been seeing these x-pattern gradient nails popping up on Instagram a lot lately so I wanted to give them a try. Obviously striping tape wasn’t going to happen, so I decided to try freehanding them!

The polishes I used for this manicure were:

  • China Glaze Pondering
  • OPI Black Cherry Chutney
  • Stripe Rite Striping Polish in Gold
  • Seche Vite

It took some serious patience to create the x-pattern, but I’m so happy (and SO proud) with how this mani turned out!

Matte Chevron Moons

What are your favourite Fall colours? For me I tend to reach towards your Navy blues, deep maroons and dark purples. And matte top coat! Ohhhhh I’m so Matte obsessed right now.

It had been a while since I’d worn any kind of moon manicure–my favourite go to when lacking inspiration–so I decided on a pretty combination of some Fall beauties.

The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • Nicole by OPI Shoot for the Maroon
  • Essie After School Boy Blazer
  • Stripe Rite  Striper in Gold
  • Seche Vite
  • L’oreal The Matte Velvet matte top coat.

Shoot for the Maroon was a recent buy (the husband picked it out) and holy amazingness when Matte! It’s pretty normally but add some Matte top coat and it’s a whole other level! I love it!

Also I can’t stop obsessing about Essie After School Boy Blazer–it is by far my favourite Navy. I need to try it out with my ACO by Ardene Crystal Fog because I think the combination would be incredible!

More Fall Tribal (featuring OPI)

Happy first day of Fall!

Can you believe it… Summer is officially over! I’ve been in a Fall state of mind since Mid-August and craving all things dark, cosy and pumpkin spice! 🎃

You know what else I love? Tribal Print! I wore this Fall toned tribal print the other day, and love how they turned out! Even better? They were surprisingly easy to do thanks to my striping polishes.

The polishes I used for this manicure were:

  • OPI Sleigh Parking Only
  • OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI
  • Stripe Rite in Gold
  • Art Club Nail Art Duo in Bubblegum Pink
  • QUO by ORLY striping polish in Black

They turned out better than I ever could have imagined. The thing I love so much about Tribal Print manicures is that they turn out so unique everytime!

What do you thing of this mani? Let me know in the comments below!

I’ve really been digging pulling out all my dark and vampy Fall colours (especially quite a few untrieds such as OPI Sleigh Parking Only). I just love this dark maroon with the pop of pink!
