Romantic Roses.

Floral was one of the first nail art designs I taught myself to do, so it will always be one of my favourites. There are just so many different ways you can do it!

Since it’s still definitely Summer outside (even though my heart is craving Fall) I thought I would do some girlie pink roses.

The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • Base coat: Quo by Orly Nail Nutrition.
  • OPI Kiss Me- or Elf!
  • Orly Decades of Dysfunction
  • China Glaze Glow With the Flow
  • Quo by Orly Happy and Healthy
  • Quo by Orly The Antedote
  • Quo by Orly Striper in White
  • Essie Jiggle Hi, Jiggle Lo
  • Essie Gel Setter

For the mani, I also used:

  • Small nail art brush from Born Pretty Store
  • Dotting tool from Amazon

What was the first nail art you ever taught yourself to do? Is it still a favourite? Let me know in the comments below! 💗

Mani swap with @dsetterfield74!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday night! I’m once again delayed on posting, but here is the mani swap I did with the ever so talented  Dianna (@dsetterfield74) on Instagram!

For this swap, Dianna recreated my matte chevron moons I did back in the Fall, and I recreated her red and gold swirl nails. I had a hard time picking from her assortment of beautiful manicures, but I just loved the gold and red too much not to choose it!

I didn’t have the stamping plate that Dianna used, so I decided to recreate the swirls freehand. It could have ended as an epic nail polish fail, but thankfully it turned out super close to its inspiration! (Thank goodness! No one likes a nail fail.)

For this mani, the polishes I used were:

  • Essie A-List
  • Icing NYE
  • Essie Shine of the Times
  • Essence Black Is Back
  • gold studs (from Born Pretty Store)
  • Small nail art brush (also from Born Pretty)
  • Essie Good to Go

So what do you think of this mani swap? I’m having a lot of fun swapping with all these amazing nail artists!

Matte swirl accent nails.

January is leaving me a little slack on inspiration, leaving my nail designs feeling a little random. Today’s mani is inspired by a manicure I did back on Thanksgiving, only using a different colour scheme.

The polishes I used for this manicure were:

  • Sally Hansen Complete Salon manicure in Trouble Maker
  • Color Club Dirty Money
  • OPI Altar Ego
  • Essie Good to Go top coat.
  • Butter London Matte Top coat.
  • Small nail art brush purchased from Born Pretty.

What do you find yourself wearing most often in the early months of the year. I can’t wait to start playing around with some Valentines Day designs! Only a month away! 💗
