Kiss Products Limited Edition Halloween Press On Nails Review (A Review)

Hello loves & happy Saturday! I know, right — a Saturday post. It’s Halloween weekend, & I’m feeling wild, so I decided to share a fun post. Recently I was sent a fun PR box from Kiss — for the first time ever– which included a slew of fun press on nails, & a couple false lashes, all for Halloween. So naturally, I needed to try some of the goodies out!

Full disclosure: I don’t think I’ve worn false nails in like… 18 years? I think the last time was my cousins wedding in 2006. So it’s been a while. I started off by going through the box & deciding on what length I wanted, but also took into account while nails had a fit that matched my cuticle line the best. I ended up going with these fun witchy nails, in the XL length. I went through & found nails to fit each nail, & then set them in a line so I could apply one by one, starting from my pinky to my thumb.

It was actually an easier process then I remember — & I didn’t end up with nail glue all over my hands which was nice. It definitely got more tricky the closer I got to my thumbs, especially with this extra long length, but I managed to get all 10 applied easily.

As for wear, I wore these for 3 days of work, & while the length definitely took some adjusting to, I was really impressed with the wear of the nails. I had no lifting, no nails that popped off; they were very secure. & that was during 3 days where I was unpacking boxes, & generally being pretty hard on my nails. If I had decided to, I definitely think could have gotten a week’s wear out of them.

Removal was a little more difficult. I purchased the Kiss Glue Off, which boasts easy removal, but it definitely was a bit of a challenge getting them off, & I did end up needing to trim down my natural nails due to some damage. But I also left my natural nails long, which I think was my own fault. However, if your nails are already short, & you want to add some fun length to them, these are an awesome option for you! & they definitely have great lasting potential, with a fraction of the cost you could pay at a salon!

Overall, I was really impressed with these Kiss Press on Nails, & I had so much fun wearing them — even for a short time.

I don’t think I’m the target audience, simply because I like changing up my nail art a little more frequently, but I couldn’t get over how many compliments I received while wearing these, with a majority of people telling me how they looked like salon done nails! If you’re someone who likes having pretty nails, doesn’t want to change them too frequently, definitely check them out! Kiss Products can be purchased at your local Walmart.

Have a fun Saturday beauties!

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE OCTOBER – Spiders

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

I wish I could say I did, but I’ve been fighting through a horrible sickness for the last week or so, & Saturday I worked 10 hours with laryngitis which was… not fun. I also haven’t had any time or energy for my nails, which is why it’s been so quiet on here. But I do have my next prompt for Glam Nails Challenge October, because I am dedicated to seeing it to the end.

Today’s prompt is Spiders. I decided to go with a quick & easy spider web design using these Dollarama nail art stickers.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-chip Top Coat
  • Essie Kimono-over
  • Paris Hilton Nail Polish unnamed glitter
  • Starrily Space Debris
  • Dollarama Halloween nail art stickers

These stickers are so cute, & I really like them over this sparkly purple base. I really love these glitters layered over the darkness of Essie Kimono-over — it build into such a beautiful base for me. The stickers — well while I’ve had some really good luck with other Dollarama nail art stickers, these ones might have been too big, or too stiff, but they did not want to stay on my nails at all. But at least I got enough wear out of them for this design!

Also I know it said Spiders as the prompt — but I hate spiders. Spider webs are much, much more fun for me to wear. & don’t give me the creeps.

Have a lovely Monday.

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE OCTOBER — Witch

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday. I hope everyone is having a lovely week so far. Can you believe it’s less than 2 weeks until Halloween? I’m super pumped. I almost have both kids Halloween costumes figured out, as well as my own, & we just have to get the house fully decorated. I’m very excited

I’m also excited to share my nails for the next Glam Nails Challenge October prompt: Witch. Originally, I was kind of stumped on what to paint on my nails for this prompt, because I didn’t want to go to literal with the prompt. So I ended up going with what I would wear on my nails if I were embracing my witchy vibes, inspired by this look I saw on Pinterest.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Fast Dry Top Coat
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Iris Ilusion
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Cosmic Blu
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Black-O
  • NailStuff.ca 7mm detail brush

I really wanted to go with this iridescent gradient that would almost look like I had magic coming out of my finger tips. & then I hand painted the cool pattern using my 7mm detail brush. & it turned out pretty awesome — minus my pointer where I had a bit of an oops & had to think quick. It’s supposed to be a sun, but it kind of looks like a spider, but that’s also Halloween-y so I’ll take it.

I had a few different “witchy” ideas for my nails but I really like how this one turned out. It’s a bit lighter than most witch designs, I feel, like more of a Willow from Buffy kind of vibe. &. I really like that.

What do you think about my witch design for Glam Nails Challenge October? Do you like this kind of abstract interpretation of the prompt, versus being more literal? Let me know what you think down below, & let me know if you’re dressing up for Halloween this year… & as what! & check out the other Witch designs on #glamnailschallengeOct.

Have a lovely Wednesday!

SWATCH SUNDAY — Color Club Black Magic

Hey Beauties & happy Sunday! & happy first Sunday of October! It’s officially spooky season. I’m breaking out my Halloween decorations as we speak.

It’s also time to start finding some spooky-inspired polishes from my stash to feature on Swatch Sunday. Honestly, I haven’t bought any Halloween polishes in a few years, so I’m running out of a polishes that work for Halloween, haha. This might be the year I need to add a few new ones to my stash. But — in the meantime, here in a kind of Halloween-y/Witchy polish: Color Club Black Magic.

2 coats, no top coat.

I’ve written about these Color Club holos before, & how much I love them. Walmart was selling the whole collection, & then had them on clearance, so naturally I had to stock up on a few. & I feel like everyone needs a black holographic polish in their life, so those moments when you’re feeling moody — or, you know, for Halloween.

For my polishes, I captured my swatches with the daytime light in my light box, but also used the flash on my camera to get the holo to show up even better.

Formula on this polish was super easy to apply. First coat was a little streaky/patchy, but with the second coat we had the full opacity you see in my pictures. That’s also without top coat, but it still has a nice gloss to it as well. & the sparkle! Yes the sparkle is fantastic. I really like the flash on rainbow against the black base. & I think this would be a fantastic base for some Halloween nail art.

& obviously, we need a sunshine shot, because I really feel like you can’t truly appreciate holo until you see it in the sun. & she is stunning in the sun! Really gives off oil spill vibes.

What do you think about Color Club Black Magic? Is it giving you Halloween vibes? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below & share what Halloween inspired your loving right now, because I’m definitely on the look out to add a few new ones to my stash!

Purple & Gold Stamped Leaf Nails ✨🍁

Hey lovelies & happy Thursday! It’s almost the weekend… & it’s almost October. This month has been a crazy blur, & I can’t believe it’s almost my favourite month! That makes me a very happy girl.

Today I’ve got another fun Fall design to share, & I’m really excited about it. I feel like I always forget about the cute Autumn themed stamping plates I have, & I really do want to change that. For example — I’ve had today’s stamping plate at least 5 years, but never used this particular image. So I’m glad I finally did!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie Hard To Resist Glow & Shine
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Fast Dry Top Coat
  • ORLY Fowl Play
  • Essie Mosiac On Down
  • Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate BP-L026
  • Nailstuff.ca clear stamper & scraper set

Wearing ORLY Fowl Play from the Fall 2011 Birds of a Feather collection. I thought the base would be perfect for the base for this stamping, & the gold compliments the purple really nicely.

These definitely feel very Fall. & are perfect for almost October.
