Good morning lovelies & happy Sunday! It’s a beautiful chilly Sunday here. November is definitely in full swing. Today I have a long awaited swatch post to share with you. I originally had planned to share it last week, but I was super sick so I wasn’t up to blogging of any kind. So, without any further a due: The Ella + Mila Enchanted collection (B).

Jewel Toned Skittle 💎

Good morning lovelies. I hope everyone is feeling okay-ish this morning. I know things are feeling pretty down for a lot of people right now so I’m sending love.

Today I’m sharing an easy November look. One of the things I feel myself drawn to this time of year is jewel tones. Even though I’m not feeling full on holiday nails quite yet, I do enjoy holiday nail polishes from years past. So I thought I would combine a few fun ones from years past into a gorgeous skittle.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Under The Tree
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Wrapped in Love
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Hyp-nautical
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Me, My Elf & I
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Hue There?
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Make It N-Ice

How gorgeously do these polishes compliment each other? I feel like I’m always trying to create the perfect skittle look, & finally feel like this one is it! The jewel tones, the added glitter. It just all came so together so perfectly — probably why I’ve been wearing this look for over 4 days! See

What do you think about this jewel toned skittle? Are you getting excited about holiday collection releases? Which nail polish collections are you most excited about for the Holidays? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below!

Holographic Swirls (with the Ella + Mila Enchanted collection)

Good morning lovelies & happy Tuesday. Sorry for the unannounced hiatus — after my busy week last week, I woke up Sunday morning feeling like I got hit by a bus thanks to the cold from Hell. Thankfully, I’m finally feeling better today (thank you DayQuil) but I am behind on posting!

Today I’m sharing a fun sparkly design that I think is perfect as we approach Holiday Party Season. & I accomplished this look using the entire Ella + Mila Enchanted (B) collection. I feel like November (& into December) is why my craving for glitter really skyrockets, so expect lots of glitter in the next few weeks as we get into Christmas/Holiday mode!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Ella + Mila All About The Base (Base Coat) *
  • Top Coat: Ella + Mila In A Rush (Top Coat) *
  • Ella + Mila Everglow *
  • Ella + Mila Oasis *
  • Ella + Mila Dragonfly *
  • Ella + Mila Violet Skies
  • Ella + Mila Zephyr *
  • Ella + Mila Aurora Lights *
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush

Love the negative space base (with some added shimmer thanks to Everglow) & then the stripes of holographic. The sparkle is unbelievable & definitely perfect for any shindig you have coming up to celebrate. Ella + Mila have also just launched some great nail art stripers, so if you’re looking to try out a nail art look like this, I definitely recommend checking them out!

What do you think of these sparkly abstract stripes? Do you think this is a nail art look you could see yourself trying & wearing, especially as we get into party season?

SWATCH SUNDAY — Claire’s Poison Apple 🍎

Good morning lovelies & happy Sunday! It’s a beautiful Autumn Sunday, cool & crisp. It’s also the last Sunday of October, if you can believe it. How is this month almost over?

Even though I have some really exciting shades from Ella + Mila to share with you, I wanted to close off this month with a slightly Halloween adjacent shade with Claire’s Poison Apple.

This shade was the third in the collection they released in the early 2010s as dupes for the MAC Villainous collection — click to see the swatches of Evil Queen & Venomously.

3 coats + top coat

This beautiful foil red takes a few coats for perfect opacity, but it’s worth the work (& dry time). The formula is a metallic red with micro flakies. It has a subtle gold shift, although it shows up better in the bottle on the nail (as is the trend with this mini collection). For an almost 15 year old nail polish, the formula is still great & I had no issues with application.

Look at that metallic finish—so pretty! I love colour for this time of year. I do wish that you see that gold shift on the nail like you can in the bottle, but it’s beautiful nonetheless. & I’m so happy that I have all three in my stash, especially because I didn’t original think that I did have a full set.

What do you think of Claire’s Poison Apple? Do you like this villainous red? Do you think Claire’s should do another release like this? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below!

Hello my lovelies & happy Tuesday!

I know, I’ve kind of switched up my usual posting schedule but only because the last little while has been a bit crazy! But I’ve got another fun manicure to share with you, featuring another favourite October polish. & I’m really happy with how the design turned out.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • OPI DS Extravagance
  • NailStuff Essentials Holographic Top Coat *
  • Essie Home By 8 *
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush

I used to do hand painted swirl designs like this all the time when I first got into nail blogging, but it’s been a while since I did one so it felt like the right time. It’s a cross between like a paisley & a kind of lace design, I guess? I decided to add another layer of holo over my base of OPI DS Extravagance which gave it even more of a POW! effect & I love it.

Just give me all the sparkle. I really, really am craving sparkle, especially with these much shorter days we’ve been having.

What do you think of this holo swirl design? Do you like this hand painted design? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below, & tell me what your favourite holographic polish is!

Happy Tuesday
