SWATCH SUNDAY — OPI Infinite Shine Put On Something Ice (Holiday 2023)

Good morning loves! & happy Sunday.

Is everyone feeling the holiday spirit yet? We just had our first big tax free event at work, & I broke out my “Happy Holo-days” sweater in honour of it. So I thought I would pull out a holiday shade for this weekends Swatch Sunday post, & this beautiful from OPI’s Terribly Nice Holiday 2023 collection seemed perfect for the occasion.

This is Infinite Shine Put On Something Ice. 🧊

2 coats + top coat.

This beautiful pearlescent base is packed full of holographic circle glitters of varying size. The base is super, duper sheer but the shimmer does add a nice bit of extra sparkle. Personally, this is probably more of a topper kind of shade for me rather than an all on its own look, unless I paired it over a nude base, but it could be fun as a base for a French manicure too!

Looking at this shade, it definitely screams holiday. Those holographic glitters definitely give off icy vibes, & I can totally picture this paired with Shaking My Sugar Plums in a fun glitter gradient. I’m definitely going to try that!

What do you think about Put On Something Ice from the OPI Terribly Nice collection from 2023. I got a few of the shades last year for Christmas, so I might share the other glitter I received if anyone is interested? I haven’t picked up any holiday shades this year yet, but I’m definitely looking around because ‘Tis the Season for glitter, & I’m all about it right now!

Happy Sunday!

Iridescent Flakie Gradient Nails

Good morning lovelies & happy Tuesday! It’s a rainy & chilly Tuesday — very much November weather. So I thought I would break up some of the gloom with a pretty flakie look, because flakies make everything better.

I realized the other day I hadn’t played with any of my flakies or Chrome powders in my collection, & got this idea to do a look using them in a similar look to my favourite stained glass technique. & I think they turned out so pretty!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • Sally Hansen Special Effects Salon Chrome Top Coat (used as a base to help my flakies stick!)
  • Dimension Nails Kronosaurus
  • NailStuff.ca Mermaid Flakies
  • NailStuff.ca Flat nail brush

Look at that beautiful shift! I can’t believe I’ve taken so long to use these again. I definitely go through fazes where I use nail art stuff less than others, but I’m going to make a conscious effort to go through more stash more frequently to use these items! Because they really do give such a beautiful look on the nail!

What do you think of these flakie glitter gradient nails? Can you believe the shift on these flakies? I can’t believe I’ve been sleeping on using them! Definitely will be glkng through my stash & seeing what nail art looks I can create with my little pots of glitter.

Happy Tuesday

Good morning lovelies & happy Sunday! It’s a beautiful chilly Sunday here. November is definitely in full swing. Today I have a long awaited swatch post to share with you. Jewel Toned Skittle 💎

Good morning lovelies. I hope everyone is feeling okay-ish this morning. I know things are feeling pretty down for a lot of people right now so I’m sending love.

Today I’m sharing an easy November look. One of the things I feel myself drawn to this time of year is jewel tones. Even though I’m not feeling full on holiday nails quite yet, I do enjoy holiday nail polishes from years past. So I thought I would combine a few fun ones from years past into a gorgeous skittle.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Under The Tree
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Wrapped in Love
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Hyp-nautical
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Me, My Elf & I
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Hue There?
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Make It N-Ice

How gorgeously do these polishes compliment each other? I feel like I’m always trying to create the perfect skittle look, & finally feel like this one is it! The jewel tones, the added glitter. It just all came so together so perfectly — probably why I’ve been wearing this look for over 4 days! See

Good morning lovelies & happy Tuesday. Sorry for the unannounced hiatus — after my busy week last week, I woke up Sunday morning feeling like I got hit by a bus thanks to the cold from Hell. Thankfully, I’m finally feeling better today (thank you DayQuil) but I am behind on posting!

Today I’m sharing a fun sparkly design that I think is perfect as we approach Holiday Party Season. & I accomplished this look using the entire Ella + Mila Enchanted (B) collection. I feel like November (& into December) is why my craving for glitter really skyrockets, so expect lots of glitter in the next few weeks as we get into Christmas/Holiday mode!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Ella + Mila All About The Base (Base Coat) *
  • Top Coat: Ella + Mila In A Rush (Top Coat) *
  • Ella + Mila Everglow *
  • Ella + Mila Oasis *
  • Ella + Mila Dragonfly *
  • Ella + Mila Violet Skies
  • Ella + Mila Zephyr *
  • Ella + Mila Aurora Lights *

Love the negative space base (with some added shimmer thanks to Everglow) & then the stripes of holographic. The sparkle is unbelievable & definitely perfect for any shindig you have coming up to celebrate. Ella + Mila have also just launched some great nail art stripers, so if you’re looking to try out a nail art look like this, I definitely recommend checking them out!
