Blue Jewel Drag Marble Nails 💎

Hello lovelies & happy Friday. & Happy September 1st! It maybe not be Fall to most people — or, okay, the calendar, but September 1st definitely feels like the beginning of Fall to me. So you can probably look forward to seeing more & more Autumn-eque designs moving forward.

Today’s look was what happens when it’s late at night & I’m stick on nail ideas. I wanted to paint my nails, but I was uncertain with what I should do. Naturally, I decided on a drag marble. I think they turned out really pretty, so I’m excited to share them with you!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glossy Top Coat
  • Essie License to Thrill
  • Essie Get Your Grove On
  • Essie Merino Cool
  • Smallest dotting tool (NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio)

How beautiful did this turn out? Honestly, sometimes I do drag marbles & I hate the result –they get a bit muddled — but I think the colours on this one really compliment each other, & it turned out really looking like some kind of stone/marble.

What do you think of this drag marble design? Do you like this colour combination as much as I do? How does the beginning of a new month have you feeling? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below!

SWATCH SUNDAY — Sally Hansen x Sesame Street InstaDri Collection

•contains pr/gifted product•

Hello loves & happy Sunday! I know we may be sick of the Sally Hansen x InstaDri content this week, but I’m just so excited to share the shades from this collection with you!

The Sally Hansen x Sesame Street InstaDri collection consists on 10 polishes — 4 creams, 2 glitter toppers, 2 metallic/shimmery shades, & 2 jelly glitters. It’s a great assortment of different shades brought together under one great collection. There is also a fun set of press on nails as part of their Salon Effect Perfect Manicure line (although I won’t be featuring those as part of my swatches.

Each shade is based around a corresponding Sesame Street character (or, characters) which is a fun idea. & I think all the polishes fit perfectly!

So now onto the swatches!

Vibrant Stripes with the new Sesame Street x Sally Hansen Instadri Collection

•contains pr/gifted product•

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! We’re officially mid week & that much closer to the weekend. It’s been a busy week for me so far, so I feel like that’s reflected in my nail art. When it’s stressful/busy times, I definitely don’t have the time or energy for more complicated nail art.

But! I have some exciting nail art to share with you today because it features some nail polish I was recently surprised with! Friday I came home to some surprise nail mail from Sally Hansen featuring the Sally Hansen x Sesame Street InstaDri collaboration. I really couldn’t wait for a chance to try these shades out, so I decided to pair a few in a quick freehand stripe look.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glossy Top Coat
  • Sally Hansen x Sesame Street InstaDri 1 Polish, Ah Ah Ah
  • Sally Hansen x Sesame Street InstaDri Am I Not Adora-blue?
  • Sally Hansen x Sesame Street InstaDri Turquesa Brillante
  • Sally Hansen x Sesame Street InstaDri SCRAM!
  • NailStuff.ca Mermaid Tail Brush Trio (11mm liner brush)

I guess we’re back to Summer, haha. Even though I had fully embraced the Fall flakie vibes with my previous manicure, I am very much in love with the colour scheme of this design. They’re very bright, & colourful, which is perfect for a collection based on something like Sesame Street. I’m looking forward to swatching all the shades to shade for this weekend’s Swatch Sunday post.

What do you think of this bright & colourful stripe-y look? Are you a fan of this colourful design? Have you seen the Sally Hansen clx Sesame Street shades in any of your nail polish haunts? Let me know all your thoughts in comments below!

Vacation Neon Ruffian Nails 💛💜

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! I’m back from vacation, & very refreshed from my weekend away. We had a great time, & enjoyed a ton of time visiting family. Now it’s back to the real world, & I’m excited to show off the nails I chose to wear for our vacation. I had done an Instagram questionnaire wondering what nails I should wear for my vacation, & the biggest winner was neon yellow.

So I thought I would do a fun neon yellow ruffian for my vacation nails, & I’m just obsessed with how they turned out.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glossy Top Coat
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel 90s Toadally Buggin’ •pr/gifted•
  • Color Club Art Club Striper Passion Flower

Please excuse my dry cuticles, haha, as I took these photos after reaching our destination & hadn’t had a chance to reach for my cuticle pen. Even still, I think this look is such cute for a vacation mani! The purple of Color Club Passion Flower kind of went a bit grey against Toadally Buggin’ but that’s okay. I really like my little ruffian outlines, & this was the perfect nail art look for vacation.

Bright & colourful, which is just what I wanted!

Are you enjoying your Summer so far? I can’t believe how quickly September is approaching, & back to school. Crazy. & I can’t lie — I have definitely felt myself grabbing a few darker polishes lately without really thinking. I think the Autumn vibes are starting to seep in!

But I promise… I won’t go full Pumpkin Spice quite yet. I’ll still slip in a few Summery shades & manicures before then!

Have a fantastic Wednesday!

Instagram Mermaidcore Collab 🧜‍♀️🩵

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! Todays nail art look is another special collaboration I did with some fellow nail artists on Instagram. & it’s very fitting, as I’m currently on my way to vacation at Ocean’s Playgound (aka Prince Edward Island, Canada). So this Mermaidcore look is totally fitting for our fun ocean vacation this weekend.

For my mermaid themed look, I decided to go with a classic scale look. I don’t have a scale stamping plate, sadly, but I decided to pull out one of my older stamping plates & see if it would work for a scale pattern — & it did!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Colour Grip Primer Base Coat
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Glossy Top Coat
  • Icing Stores Matte Effects 60217
  • Icing Stores Mermaid Mint
  • Essie Under The Twilight
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Unicorn Top Coat
  • Bodico Stamping Plate B-12
  • NailStuff.ca Clear Stamper

Do you think I captured the Mermaidcore aesthetic? Obviously I had to add a little extra shimmer with the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Unicorn Top Coat over my stamped design. & I think it turned our absolutely perfect, & just the nail art look I was going for.

Mermaid vibes all the way.

What do you think about this Mermaidcore design I did for this Instagram Challenge? If you get a chance, hop over to Instagram & check out everyone else’s amazing mermaidcore manicures: #mermaidnailartmanicollab2023

Have a great weekend! I’ll be back to posting next Wednesday! 🩵
