GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE AUGUST (2024) — Cactus 🌵

Good morning lovelies & happy Wednesday! Can you believe that this is it — the last prompt of this month’s challenge! Crazy to think August is almost over, & September is (basically) here. But we’re finishing out this month’s challenge strong with a handpainted cactus design, & I’m really proud of how these turned out!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie First Base
  • Top Coat: Essie Speed Setter
  • Quo by Orly Breatheable You’re A Gem
  • Pacifica Rainbow Gloss
  • Essie Willow in the Wind
  • Essie Turquoise & Cacaos
  • Essie Chillato
  • Essie Off Tropic
  • Essie Cute as a Button
  • Essie Set in Sandstone
  • Nailtural Keep Palm, Swim On
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush
  • NailStuff.ca dotting tool from Dotting Tool Trio

Okay, so originally I was going to use my cactus stickers from NailStuff.ca for this design, but I could not find them anywhere! So I had to pull out my freehand skills, & freehand paint some cute cacti on my nails… & you know, I think I did a pretty good job! I’m actually super proud of these & feeling pretty in love with how beautifully they turned out.

My whole reason for doing this challenge this month was the inspire me to get out of my nail art box, & feel creative again. My favourite months of the year are coming up, & I want to be in love with nail art again; feel creative again. & I am really excited to finish the rest of this year with some fun nail art looks!

What do you think about these cactus nails for Glam Nails Challenge August? Have you enjoyed taking this nail art journey with me this month? I’m not 100% sure if I’m going to do Glam Nails Challenge for September, but either way I’m pumped to get into some fun Fall designs & colours.

Have a lovely Wednesday

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE AUGUST (2024) — Blueberries 🫐

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! & a beautiful sunny Wednesday it is! It’s also time for the next prompt of Glam Nails Challenge August which is blueberries! I always find these fruit prompts a bit more challenging to do, but thanks to Pinterest, I found the inspiration I needed based on this design — I just did my own spin on their version.

he polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Essie First Base
  • Top Coat: Essie Speed Setter
  • Essie Bikini So Teeny
  • Nails INC Hotter Than Hot
  • OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI
  • Essie All The Wave
  • Essie No More Film
  • Essie Wind in the Willow
  • Essie Satin Sister
  • Essie Expressie FX Iced Out
  • NailStuff.ca dotting tool from Dotting Tool Trio
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush

First off, shout out to Essie First Base & Speed Setter for being the base coat & top coat combination to last on my nails! I’ve been wearing this design for 3 days with minimal, minimal wear.

Second, I love how these turned out — & I got a ton of compliments on this design which always makes me feel good. It took a bit to get my blueberries perfect, but I think I was successful in that. & I really, really love how they turned out. Such a cute design! & I love the layer of Iced Out over the whole design because it reminds me of the blueberry milk nails that were really popular for a minute last year.

What do you think about this blueberry design? Are you a fan of fruit themed manicure? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!

Vibrant Floral Shorties 🌱🌸

Hello lovelies & happy Thursday! We have another rainy one today, which is quite disappointing. But you know what can turn a lame, rainy day around? Cute floral nails!

Pretty Floral Shorties 🌿🌸

Hello darlings, happy Friday!

I know what you’re thinking — two blog posts in a row? You girl was feeling productive after feeling not so productive in the beginning of the week, so we’re going to roll with it. Today I have another short nail design to share with you, & yes — it’s more floral. Let’s be honest, I’m (most likely) going to be sharing something floral related at least once a week going forward as it’s a nail art comfort zone for me. So I hope you won’t get tired of them too quickly!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifer
  • Top Coat: Seche Vive
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Luxe Finish Lavish Lilac
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Cotton Candy
  • OPI Nature Strong Emflowered
  • Sally Hansen Good. Kind. Pure. Peony Origins
  • Sally Hansen Good. Kind. Pure Eco-Rose
  • Sally Hansen Good Kind Pure Blue Moonstone
  • Essie In the Cab-Ana
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel How You Bluein’
  • Essie Willow in the Wind
  • Nailtural Keep Palm, Swim On
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio
Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush

Okay, seriously, how pretty did this floral turn out?

I know, I know — I say that every single time I create a floral design, but that’s because I’m still amazed after all this time when my nails turn out so pretty! I mean, sometimes when I’m going into them I’m not entirely sure they’re going to work out — & there have definitely been times when they didn’t!–so I get so happy when I end up with a beautiful design that I’m happy with.

What do you think of this floral design? Do you like pretty floral looks like this? As I mentioned, I foresee this being a design I repeat at least weekly going forward for the next little while. Even when I’m not inspired to necessarily do my nails, I’m always inspired to create a pretty floral!
