Inspired by Flip Flops! 

  
 When it comes nail art, I find inspiration can be everywhere. Today’s mani was inspired by a pair of flip flops at work. When we first got them in way back in March all I could think was NAIL ART! Took me until the end of August but I did it! 
  
The polishes I used for this mani were: 

  • Color Club Silver Lake
  • Yves Saint Laurent Noir Primitif
  • Finger Paints unnamed mini (from the Halifax nail blogger meet up)
  • ACO by Ardene Sunkissed (floral details)
  • Essie Bikini So Teeny (floral details) 
  • Sally Hansen I Love Nail Art pen in Green. 
  • Crystals from Icing stores. 
  • Seche Vite 

 So what do you think of my mani? My company is having a “most stylish employee” contest right now so I used this for my first entry. I’m probably going to do a few entries like that just for fun!

Freehand triangle accent nails. 

I’ve wanted to create a mini triangle patterned nails for a while now, but I’m no good with striping tape! So I decided to give them a try with my striping polish! My freehanding has been getting better with practice so I’m very happy with how these turned out. 

   
The polishes I used for this manicure were:

  • Essie Mochacino
  • Essie Jiggle Hi, Jiggle Low

What do you think of this mani? I absolutely adore how my triangles turned out! I wore this mani for a full two days which almost never happens. I would have kept it on another day but they started to chip thanks to work (darn stock days…). I will definitely be trying this design again soon!

Simple gold stripes over pink. 

 Good morning lovelies! 

Hope you’re enjoying your Wesnesday. Here in Halifax it’s been pretty darn hot… Which normally I wouldn’t complain about but our air conditioning at work has been broken a couple weeks so it’s been a little rough. Thank goodness for maxi dresses and Iced Coffee! 

You know what else makes up for super hot Summer days… Nail polish! I recently picked up a few pretty Essie polishes  on some awesome deals ($3.99) which I can never say no to! 

  
Today’s mani features the super pretty Brides No Grooms. As soon as I spied this pretty reddish pink hiding in the clearance bin, I knew I had to own it! I decided to compliment it with some simple gold stripes created using my QUO by ORLY Striper in Gold. The topped everything with a nice coat of Seche to seal everything in. 

 
Is there anything that doesn’t go well with gold? 😍😍😍 did you pick up any of the Essie bridal polishes? I’m still hoping to stumble across Happy Wife Happy Life in the clearance bins! I love red, and the name is too cute as it’s what my fiancé always says to me. 💗

Vintage roses and studs featuring QUO by ORLY water transfers. 

 As you’ve probably figured out, I love a good floral mani. REALLY love. I saw a mani by @perfectly_nailed on Instagram that featured roses on script and knew I wanted to recreate it! I picked up QUO by ORLY water transfers all the way back in October so I couldn’t think of a better time to try them out! 

  
The polishes I used for this mani were: 

  • Essie Big Spender (dark pink)
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Birthday Suit (beige)
  • QUO by ORLY water transfers in Love Letters. 
  • Born Pretty Store studs. 
  • Assortment of other pink polishes that (I can’t remember! Whoops) for the roses. 
  • Seche Vite 

 
What do you think of my roses? I really adore how these turned out. I’ve been really feeling romantic manicures lately… Maybe it’s because it’s wedding season!

Crochet and floral accent nails inspired by @banicured_

whew! It’s been a super busy couple of weeks. The Mr and I moved into a brand new house and then I had one of the big head honchos visiting at work. Stress-ful. But with that over I can concentrate on the good things in life. Like POLISH! 

  

Today’s mani is inspired by the crazy talented @banicured_ who did these stunning crocheted floral nails a couple weeks ago. As soon as I saw them I put them right on my list of manicures to recreate! 

The polishes I used for this manicure were:

  • Seche Vite Dry Fast top coat. 

So what do you think of my inspired by manicure? I really love how these turned out! Also I’m so in love with the Essie 2015 Resort collection (as you probably guessed as I used 3/4 polishes on this mani!)
