Cute Candy Cane Nails (featuring Butter London Winter 2025 shades) ❄️

Contains PR

Hello lovelies & happy Monday! It’s a very, very snowy Monday here… & I won’t lie, it’s kind of nice. Giving me a few Christmas vibes, I won’t lie.

So naturally that means let’s share some more holiday inspired nails. & I couldn’t not use my two new Butter London shades I featured yesterday — with the help of another Butter London shades in my stash.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Cure
  • Top Coat: Essie Speed Setter
  • Butter London Frozen Loch *pr
  • Butter London Branwen’s Pearls *pr
  • Butter London Saucy Jack
  • NailStuff.ca 4mm Micro Detail Brush

I just love a dainty candy cane look, & this one turned out just how I imagined it in my head. The pearlescent finish of Branwen’s Pearls was the perfect base for my tiny little candy canes, & the blue base of Frozen Loch helped them pop on the nail!

I got so many compliments on these at work, which always makes me happy! It always makes my day when someone else notices — & loves — a design I’ve created.

So what do we think of these cutie candy cane nails? Do you think they’re fun & dainty? I’m really trying to come up with some fun holiday nail art looks — maybe even some I’ve never tried before — to end off this year with a bang, so please let me know what nail art designs you’d like to see!

Enjoy your Monday

Icy Blue Glitter Placement 💙❄️

Hello lovelies & happy Friday. Oh boy is it a cold one today! It felt like -25 degrees (Celsius) this morning — which is too cold for my delicate little self. But it fits with today’s nail art look, because I used some older Christmas shades of mine to create a beauty of a nail art look!

I wanted something winter-y, & Christmas adjacent, & I think I achieved that! ❄️

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Cure
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen InstaDri Top Coat (red bottle)
  • Morgan Taylor Baby It’s Bold Outside
  • Morgan Taylor Silver in my Stocking
  • Small Dotting Tool

So I totally forgot I had this fun Morgan Taylor silver shatter glitter I was gifted all the way back in 2017 — so naturally I needed to pull it out for some kind of icy glitter placement look. I decided to use another shade from the same collection (Little Miss Nutcracker) as the base for this look. & this beautiful cobalt blue was calling me!

The base of this silver has a bunch of silver micro shimmers, so it made for an interesting look. I think it gives it even more of an icy effect. &, like I said, Christmas adjacent. If you really wanted to amp up this look, you can paint on some snowflakes to give it the full ice queen effect!

What do you think of this icy blue look? Is it giving ice queen? Does it match our (very) frigid weather outside? Let me know what you think of this look, & if you would wear it yourself!

Happy Friday!

Christmas-y Abstract Stripes 🎄

Hello lovelies & happy December! We’re already three days into December, & that’s kind of crazy. & it’s feeling festive with our first bit of winter-y now (although it’s a snow/rain mix) so I guess Christmas is really coming. So naturally it felt like time to create some kind of Christmas nail art look to share with you — & what’s more Christmasy than red & green.

I wanted to create a look that was festive but I wasn’t sure what to do. These started out as some simple red & green nails, & kind of transformed from there. I ended up adding in some hints of pink as well, & I just love the whole look! Definite Christmas vibes.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Cure
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen InstaDri Top Coat (red bottle)
  • Butter London Pure Colour 21X Nail Lacquer Branwen’s Pearls *PR
  • Orly Color Blast Garnet Luxe Shimmer
  • China Glaze Emerald Fitzgerald
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Wrapped in Love
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Living In The Presents
  • NailStuff 11mm Mermaid Tail brush

How fun are these? Kind of gives a little bit of candy vibes — like ribbon candy, or a really fancy candy cane, or maybe just ribbon. The thought of adding like bows, to give the impression of ribbon, crossed my mind but I was scared I would ruin the whole look so maybe I can try again another time with added bows!

What do you think of these Christmas-y abstract stripes? Are you feeling the holiday vibes now & ready to rock some festive designs? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below, & if you’re currently wearing something festive on your nails I want to know! I need all the holiday nail art inspiration I can get!

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Pink Glitter Snowflakes

Hello lovelies!

Happy day after (American) Thanksgiving to my American readers, & happy Black Friday! This is my first year in a while I’m not working in retail for Black Friday sales, so I’m kind of enjoying the breather.

But we can’t deny — Christmas is coming. & even though I’m feeling less than zero Christmas spirit this year, I figured it was time I at least tried to summon some Holiday/Winter spirit. So naturally I thought we’d dip our toes in with some snowflake nail art stickers.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: Sally Hansen Miracle Cure
  • Top Coat: Sally Hansen InstaDri Top Coat (red bottle)
  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Wrapped in Love
  • Ardene Dancing Queen
  • NailStuff.ca Snowflake Nail Art Stickers

First off, I’m officially petitioning for glitter pink to become an official Christmas colour. Secondly, I love how cute these are! I’ve had these nail art stickers in my collection forever, & I love that they’re still being used for cute nail art looks.

& it was way simpler than me trying to hand paint snowflakes on my nails! The white of the stickers just pop so well against that pretty pink. Definitely giving Christmas vibes — at least for me.

What do you think about these pink glittery snowflakes? Are they giving holiday vibes? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below! & how you’re getting your nails into the festive spirit.

Happy Friday

GLAM NAILS CHALLENGE DECEMBER (2024) — Wrapping Paper 🎁

Hello lovelies & happy Friday in this crazy post-Christmas Day haze. Our days to the new year are very quickly counting down, & I’m just trying to survive these days on caffeine, Christmas goodies & (lactose free) cheese.

How is everyone else doing? The next prompt for Glam Nails Challenge December is wrapping paper, & I decided to create some icy abstract stripes that would have been the perfect Christmas wrapping paper! Seriously, I love all the Christmas themed papers you can find — we wrapped a lot of our kids gifts in Nightmare Before Christmas paper this year — but personally I would love to find a gift under my tree wrapped in this swirly designs.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Base Coat: NailStuff Essentials Base Coat *
  • Top Coat: Nail Stuff Essentials Quick Dry Top Coat *
  • Ardene Bonne Nuit
  • Joe Fresh Gold Rush
  • China Glaze Up All Night
  • China Glaze December to Remember
  • Essie Making Spirits Bright
  • NailStuff Essentials White Dove *
  • NailStuff 4mm Micro Detail Brush
    **pr/gifted

I absolutely adore these. I know they’re not your typical gift wrap nails, but they’re so pretty! & after a lot of green & red, I wanted a more icy wintery feel — & I feel like these captured that. Plus they’re just so pretty!

What do you think about these wrapping paper inspired nails? Would you want a gift wrapped in this icy, swirly paper?
