Girlie roses and polka dots inspired by 25_sweetpea and Martienails

I love a good floral, especially when the weather outside is less than Spring like. So since my floral Spring dresses are still currently packed up I thought a pretty floral mani was in need. Today’s mani inspired by  @25_sweetpea and  @martienails. The second I saw their girlie roses and polka dots it jumped right to the top of my to-do inspiration list!

The polishes I used for today’s mani are:

  • Sally Hansen Big Teal (base colour)
  • China Glaze Feel the Breeze (base colour)
  • ACO by Ardene Pink Parfait (roses)
  • Sally Hansen Tickled Pink (roses)
  • China Glaze Purple Panic (roses)
  • China Glaze Be More Pacific (leaves)
  • Sally Hansen I ๐Ÿ’— Nail Art pen in green (leaves)
  • Sally Hansen I ๐Ÿ’— Nail Art pen in white (polka dots)
  • OPI I Snow You Love Me (round holo glitters)
  • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

So what do you think of these girlie roses and polka dot nails? I love the blue and pink colour combo–and of course anything with floral makes me happy. ๐ŸŒนand I hope you lovelies are enjoying more seasonable weather than we are here! Spring can come any day now!

Peek-a-boo Stained Glass Nails.ย

The Mr and I are getting ready to move next week so I’ve been preoccupied slightly. However I am still painting my nails so I HAD to share this cute manicure I’ve been wearing for the last two days.
I love the look of stained glass nails. They’re just so pretty! Plus you can use all sorts of colours at once! I was in the mood for a kind of peak-a-boo look over a nude polish base.
For this manicure, the polishes I used were:

  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Bare it All
  • Art Club Nail Art Duo in Black.
  • Zoya Blu
  • OPI My Favourite Ornament
  • China Glaze Plur-ple
  • China Glaze Purple Panic
  • China Glaze Shocking Pink
  • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

So what do you think of my peak-a-boo stained glass nails? I think the colours go so well together!

Neon Dry Brush and Chevron moons.ย

Good morning lovelies! Today I have a fun and bright and colourful dry brush to share with you. It’s finally starting to feel like Spring after the harshed winter, so I am all about the Spring colours now!

Who doesn’t love a good dry brush! The polishes I used for this design were:

  • OPI Angel with a Leadfoot (white base)
  • OPI Unfrost My Heart (silver)
  • OPI Muppets World Tour (glitter)
  • China Glaze purple panic, Plur-ple, shocking pink, for Audrey, and Flip Flop Fantasy (dry brush)
  • Zoya Blu (dry brush)
  • Art Club Nail Art Duo in Black (chevron moon)
  • Seche Vite

And my midi ring is from Kristalized Designs

Bring on the sunshine, bright colours and pretty dresses! So happy that Winter is finally over for good. So what are you wearing on your finger tips in honour of Spring? โ˜€๏ธ

Cadbury mini eggs inspired nails.ย

 Edit

Easter is coming! So I figured it was about time I did some proper Easter nail art and what is more Easter then Cadbury Mini Eggs. (Or at least used to be back when they only came out in the weeks before Easter instead of being out all year.)

I originally stumbled across the idea for these mini Egg inspired nails on 10blankcanvases.com last Easter, but never got around to creating my own version. Since I can’t eat Chocolate, I decided my next best option was to wear them on my nails!

The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • Sinful Colors Mint Apple (green)
  • Essence you let my heart skip a beat (purple)
  • China Glaze Feel the Breeze (pink)
  • Revlon Dreamer (blue)
  • China Glaze Metro Pollen-tin (yellow)
  • Wet n Wild 2% Milk
  • OPI How Great is your Dane (specks)
  • Seche Vite Quick Dry Top Coay
  • L’oreal The Matte Velvet top coat.

Edit So what are you wearing on your nails for Easter? I’m still trying to come up with a fun mani to wear for our Easter dinner with my inlaws.

Polka dots and studs.ย

What’s your favourite go-to mani?! Mine is polka dots. Not only are they always stylish but I super quick and easy too!

For this mani I started with a base colour of China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le. All it took was an itty bitty dotting tool and OPI Angel With A Lead Foot to create my polka dot pattern. After I had dotted the whole pattern in white, I went back using China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy and my Sally Hansen I Love Nail Art pen in Black to colour in some of the white dots in random places. Then I sealed the whole look in with quick dry top coat (I’ve been on a Seche Vite kick lately because it dries SO quick!)

After I finished, I kind of felt like the mani was lacking a little, so I grabbed some of my gold studs purchased from Born Pretty Store (item number #8644). I applied them by dabbing dots of Seche Vite onto the base of my nail then used a damp nail art brush to pick up the studs and apply. Finished off everything with another coat of Seche Vite and done! I really feel like the studs gave my mani a little extra something so it wasn’t just another polka dot manicure.

So tell me–what’s your favourite go to mani for when you need something quick and easy?
