Maniswap with @nailmedaily

The mani swaps just keep coming! Today I’m sharing the swap I did with my fellow Instagram Nail rockstar, Jessica aka @nailmedaily. She did a gorgeous job recreating my blue & yellow Spring stripes mani, & I went nautical recreating her design!

The polishes I used for my swap were:

  • Base Coat: Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat
  • Top Coat: Cutex Quick Dry Top Coat
  • Essie Wrap Me Up
  • Essie A-List
  • Boho Greem Make Up Pacific Ocean
  • Nicole by OPI A Phil’s Paradise
  • Born Pretty Store thick striping tape.
  • What’s Up Nails anchor stencil.

I’m in love with how these turned out! I received these anchor stencils from What’s Up Nails in my order, & had been itching to use them. When I saw Jessica’s gorgeous nautical mani, I knew it was the perfect opportunity.

Jessica’s original mani was just so pretty, & the colours complimented each other so well, I had to recreate it. The fun part about mani swaps is the chance to recreate manis you love, or maybe you missed the first time. Definitely having a lot of fun surrounded by all this awesome inspiration.

Mani Swap with @LoveforNails01

Today Im excited to share another mani swap with one of my fellow Instagram nail art girlies. This time I teamed up with Hannah (@lovefornails01)! For this swap, she recreated my recent cactus design, & I recreated her Negative Space deep V tape mani.

For this mani, I used:

  • Base coat: Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat
  • Top Coat: Cutex Quick Dry Top Coat
  • China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise
  • Sally Hansen Terra Coppa
  • Snail Vinyls Single Deep Chevron nail vinyls
  • Born Pretty Store thick striping tape.

As soon as I saw this design, I knew I had to try & recreate it. I love the combination of the turquoise with the bronze-y colour. I’m a huge fan of Art Deco Tape manis, but I’m been nervous to try them on my own. I was really excited to team up with Hannah so I could give her version a try!

Hope you love this swap as much as I do! I have a few more swaps coming up which I’m really excited for, as well as some Easter designs. 🐥🐰🥕  So stay tuned!

Tribal Print Accent Nail

Today I have some more nail art to share with you! I’m really enjoying being able to do my nails again. It’s surprising how relaxing it is to be able to sit down & pull out my polishes at the end of the night.

It’s been a while since I did anything tribal-esque on my nails, so I felt like it was about time. Again, I continued the trend with some pretty Spring polishes that I haven’t pulled out in a while.

For this manicure, I used:

  • ACO by Ardene Whacky
  • ACO by Ardene Flawless
  • Essie Mint Candy Apple
  • Essie Lounge Lover
  • Kiss Products Nail Art Striper in Black
  • Cutex Quick Dry Top Coat
  • Thick striping tape from Born Pretty Store.
  • Small dotting tool.

It’s been too long since I’ve tried to freehand lines like this, hence why I only did an accent nail, & used striping tape to create my thick lines. I really should invest in some acrylic paint for nail art, eventually. (Although I’ve been saying that for ages, & still haven’t.) Even with the wonky lines though, I really love this accent nail. Makes me feel like I’m officially back in the nail art game again!

I think if I went with some pastel polish, & white lines, these would be great for Easter Egg nails! I’m starting to plan my Easter manicures so I will have to try this again with the right colour palette.

Spring Stripe Inspiration.

Oh yes, I’m all about the Spring colours.

I was looking to do a manicure different from my usual colour scheme, and I was inspired by a stuffed Giraffe belonging to my son that I yellow with blue and white striped feet. I thought the colours looked so lovely together, I wanted to recreate the look on my nails!

It took me a couple tries to find the right shades, but I really like how well these colours compliment each other. If you threw an anchor into the mix, you would have a great nautical themed design! I also love how bright and Spring-y these are! It’s time to push the winter shades away, and embrace all things sunny and bright.

For this manicure, I used:

  • China Glaze Sun Upon My Skin
  • OPI Angel With A Lead Foot
  • Essie Bikini So Teeny
  • Essie Gel Setter
  • Born Pretty Store thick striping tape.

What do you think of this mani? Funny the places you can find inspiration! This has kind of made me think about each week (or every couple weeks) doing a manicure inspired by something baby related! I’ve already got a few ideas brewing, so stay tuned.

St Patrick’s Day nails with #thenailartsquad

Happy St Patrick’s Day! 🍀

Today I’ve joined with the rest of the girls in #thenailartsquad for some St Patrick’s Day themed nails in honour of today.

The fellow #thenailartsquad members that I joined for this collab are (clockwise from the top):

For my nails, I freehanded clovers on my accent nail using a fitting tool and small nail art brush. Thankfully, baby was sleeping so I had the chance for some real nail art! I was very excited.

The polishes I used for this manicure were:

  • Essie First Timer (light green)
  • YSL  vert d’orient (dark green)
  • Icing Icing on Top (off white)
  • ORLY Bling (holo gold)
  • Butter London Rock Hard top coat.
  • Dotting tool (Bundle Monster) and small nail art brush (Born Pretty Store).

There are few occasions where I pull out green polish, but I always look forward to St Patrick’s Day for some festive green nails. I’m also really happy with my little clovers–I wasn’t quite sure I could pull them off freehand, but I think they turned out pretty cute!

Hope everyone is having a festive day whether it’s with green beer, or–like me–a very green stir fry!
