Freehand Tribal Accent Nails.

I’ve been slacking on the blog front thanks to work stress and an impending move. No time to sit down and concentrate on blogging. Hopefully I’ll have more time soon, but in the mean time I thought I’d share some tribal.

I love tribal/Aztec print… I might even almost love it more than floral. It’s been a while since I shared a tribal print mani, so I knew I needed to do some! I adore how these turned out.

The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • OPI Gelato on my Mind
  • OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI
  • Essie In the Cab-Ana
  • China Glaze Plur-ple
  • Essence Back in Black
  • Essie Gel Setter
  • Circle stickers from Dollarama
  • Born Pretty Store small detail nail art brush.

Finally weather in Halifax is getting warm and Spring like! I can finally break out the Spring dresses… Even if I still need some tights for the mornings. Makes me excited for warm summer days and pretty bright nail polishes!

Black and White striping tape mani.

I’ve expressed my issues with striping tape before… I’m not very good with it. But I’ve been trying to practice with it more (okay my straight nail vinyls have disappeared…) so I pulled it out to play with.

The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • Sally Hansen Pacific Blue (original formula)
  • OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI
  • Icing Steel My Heart
  • Essie Good to Go
  • Striping Tape from Icing.
  • Sally Hansen Nail Art Studs.

What are you wearing on your nails today?

Floral accent nail featuring China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le

Good morning lovelies. Hope the weather is beautiful where you are.

Here in Halifax, Mother Nature is playing a nasty late April Fools joke on us and has been giving us weather better suited to Early March!  So what better what to combat the chill then with some pretty floral? 🌻

The polishes I used for this manicure were:

  • China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le
  • OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI
  • Unnamed Cosmetic Arts Peach polish
  • Unnamed Cosmetic Arts Pink polish.
  • Essie In the Cabana
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow.
  • Sally Hansen I ♥️ Nail Art pen in green.
  • Essence The Green and the Grunge
  • Essie Good to Go
  • Sally Hansen Nail Art studs.

Have I mentioned how ready for Spring I am?! Really, really ready. The weather may not be agreeing, but at least these nails can help me play pretend for a while. 🌸

Bright Swirly Stripes

I am so over winter. Like, so over winter. So you know what that means–time to break out the bright polishes!  I was stuck for inspiration, so I decided to pull out a favourite fallback design.

The polishes I used for this design were:

  • China Glaze Flying Dragon
  • Essie Garden Variety
  • Cosmetic Arts unnamed hot pink polish.
  • Art Club Nail Art Duo in White
  • Miliani Nail Art Striper in Black
  • Essie Good to Go

Colour blocking sideways chevrons (inspired by @lenareitz)

Good Evening!

I’ve had a busy day so I’m big late on posting, but I really wanted to share this colour blocking mani because I just love how it turned out! I was inspired by @lenareitz who posted a negative space sideways colour block that was just stunning.

The polishes I used for this mani were:

  • OPI Dutch Ya Just Love OPI!
  • China Glaze Jungle Queen
  • Essie Where’s my Chauffeur?
  • Essie Good to Go
  • My Nails Did Right Angle Chevron nail vinyls.

I just love that pop of turquoise against the purples. I also debated making these matte but love how they look with gloss.

I’m trying to play around with new designs and styles to keep things different! Only so many ways you can do chevron moons haha.
