Autumn Floral Accent Nails🌻🍂

Hello lovelies & happy Wednesday! How is everyone enjoying their week so far First full week of school for the kiddos, & today is the first day I have all to myself so I’m going to enjoy some nail painting (& much overdo room cleaning!) First up, though, I have some beautiful Fall floral accent nails I recently painted on my nails, & they turned out so beautifully. So I thought you might enjoy them!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Essie Good To Go Top Coat
  • Base Coat: Essie Hard to Resist (purple)
  • Essie Expressie Take The Espresso
  • Essie Fall for NYC
  • Essie Get Your Groove On
  • Essie Merino Cool
  • Essie Wind in the Willow
  • NailStuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush
  • NailsStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

Look at the close up! Oh, these are the nails that make me the happiest. Floral accent nails have always been one of my favourite designs. & I think the combination of colour is absolutely Autumn on the nail. Plus it matches the Brown Eyed Susans in our garden so perfectly — they made the perfect background for my pictures.

What do you think of this Autumn inspired floral design? Are you feeling the Autumn vibes as much as I am? Our neighbours have started decorating for Fall, which makes me happy to see whenever I’m out walking. This is just my favourite time of year, & I’m ready to embrace it fully.

Burgundy Strip Accent Nails

Hey Beauties & happy Friday. I hope you’ve had a beautiful week. It feels like the world is on fire right now — literally —so it can be so hard to sit back, & feel any semblance of happiness. Here is hoping for calmer & peaceful days ahead.

I was feeling something Autumn-ish. I know, I just can’t help myself! But I tried not to lean too hard onto the Autumn aesthetic — well, not yet at least.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Essie Good To Go Top Coat
  • Base Coat: China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifier
  • Sally Hansen InstaDri Cinnasnap
  • Sally Hansen Good Kind Pure Love You Lotus
  • Sally Hansen Good Kind Pure Black Stone
  • Sally Hansen Good Kind Pure Almond Tan
  • Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Clean Slate
  • Sally Hansen CSM Ruby Do
  • NailStuff.ca Mermaid Tail Brush Trio (I used the 7mm liner brush)

A little rustic looking close up, but kind of gives that hand knit sweater feel to them. & even though I’m probably a month & a half away from needing any kind of knit sweater — I’m dreaming of those days! — it doesn’t mean I can’t wear a version on my nails!

Can’t you just imagine wearing this look while perusing the Halloween aisle & sipping on a pumpkin spice latte? I can. & it gets me so excited!

What do you think of these Autumn-esque accent nails? Would you wear this design on your own nails? Please share all your thoughts in the comments below — I love hearing what people think!

Happy weekend

Pink Gel & Floral Nail Art 💖🌸

Hey lovelies! I totally meant to post this manicure last week, but I got knocked out by the cold from hell which left me ravaged & not in the mood to do any posting! But my sinuses are finally recovering, & now I can finally show this fun look I did last week!

I was super curious about doing nail art over my gel manicure base, so I wanted to give it a try. I plan on also doing some nail art using all gel, but I was curious what would happen if you painted some nail art over just gel. (Including topping it with a regular top coat.)

Products used for this manicure:

  • Olive & June Peel Off Base Coat *
  • Olive & June Gel Polish Base Coat *
  • 2 coats Olive & June Gel Polish XOXO *
  • 1 coat Olive & June Gel Polish Pink Goldfish *
  • Olive & June Gel Polish Top Coat *
  • Sinful Colors Bold Color
  • Essie Mint Candy Apple *
  • Essie Satin Sister
  • Butter London Coming Up Roses *
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool
  • China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat

**gifted/PR

I think these are so just so pretty! I will say, the quick dry top coat I used (China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat) did dry down in a way that made the nail art flowers almost look like 3D stickers — which I thought I was very cool. I’m curious what would have happened if I had used the Olive & June Gel Top Coat — & I might have to experiment to see what happens!

As I mentioned, I’m still so new to the world of gel, so I’m enjoying playing around with it.

What do you think of this little bit of nail art? Would you like to see me do a series or feature on nail art using only gel nail polishes? Let me know all your thoughts down in the comments below!

Happy Wednesday

Pastel Floral Accent Nails 🌸🌱

Hello lovelies & happy Friday! A beautiful Friday at that. Today I’m excited — not just because the snow is almost completely melted away, but I have a beautiful floral design to share with you!

The weather may not seem to know it’s Spring outside, but my nails certainly do!

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Essie Gel Couture Top Coat
  • Base Coat: Essie Hard to Resist Advanced
  • OPI Nature Strong Cactus What You Preach
  • OPI Nature Strong Emflowered
  • OPI Canolli On My Mind
  • OPI Sickeningly Sweet
  • OPI Check Out The Old Geysers
  • Nailstuff.ca Mermaid Tail 7mm liner brush
  • NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool

How pretty did this Spring floral turn out? I think it turned out even better than I pictured in my head, & I just love it. I feel like anything to distract me from the lack of real Spring weather is what I need right now.

What do you think of my Spring floral? We’re close… so close to real Spring weather. But in the meantime, at least I have my nails! 🌿🌸

Happy Friday loves!

Pink & Purple Stained Glass Nails

Hello lovelies & happy Friday.

I won’t lie — this has been an incredibly difficult week personally. But I’m pushing through, because if one thing painting my nails (& blogging) does, is it helps my mental health. & pretty nails always make me happy.

Today’s look was a quick stained glass look I did the other night featuring Essie. I’ve been wearing a lot of the Essie in my stash lately! They just have such a beautiful variety of colours to choose from.

The polishes I used for this manicure are:

  • Top Coat: Essie Speed Setter
  • Base Coat: Essie Hard to Resist Advanced
  • Essie Flowerista
  • Essie Swoon in the Lagoon
  • Essie Expressie Choreo Queen *pr
  • Quo by Orly Striper in black
  • Small dotting tool (to fill in) NailStuff.ca Dotting Tool Trio

I think these turned out so pretty. I love these colours together. Pink & purple are always my favourite colours to combine. & I think this is such a pretty Spring-y combination — that isn’t floral. Don’t get me wrong, I love floral (& I have a ton of floral to come!)

What do you think about this geometric look? Would you wear a design like this? Let me know in tbe comments below what you think.
